Battles with player-controlled Waves

Multiple types of battles where the players get their own waves. Either 2, 3, or 4 waves' worth, depending on the mission.

(Can't choose OBW and GSBW in the same wave, but they can be in different waves in the same mission. Can't use OBW and duplicate OBW, even in different waves)

PVE: Either battles with more enemy waves (proportionate to number of player waves), or more difficult enemies relative to normal scaling. I could see this as having potential for big event battles like Galactus.

PVP: Players can inspect the enemy teams before the battle begins, but don't necessarily know the sequence in which they'll appear.
Alternatively: They can see all the enemy choices, but don't know how they are grouped into waves
More alternatively: They can't inspect the enemy teams beforehand (except in retaliation)

Unsure as to whether player waves would have to progress in order, or whether they could be chosen, a la pokemon, when their existing wave is wiped out.
