Event finish times
With the most recent R48 update, you mentioned that one of the changes was that the event times will now be handled by the server. Since then I've noticed that the Brotherhood event has changed it's finish time from 5pm GMT to 5am GMT. Could you clarify that there will still be events finishing at 5pm GMT?
Most of the finish times at present are geared to favour your U.S fan base, which I'm not saying is wrong. Obviously you want to cater towards your larger audience to maximise exposure and sales. However I would be very disappointed if this was to the detriment of the rest of the world. Events that run through the weekdays would be impossible for me to have any chance of getting a top rating unless I
a) don't bother with sleep at all.
b) don't bother going to work.
Neither of which is really an option. In the recent ISO 8 brotherhood, I was hoping for a good rank, previously rating in the top 10. However that has dropped to 24 as I wasn't able to compete with the people doing the last map location. Minus your lightning round, all of your versus battles finish at 5am my time while this would be a comfortable period of between 9 and 11 in the U.S (apologies if my conversions are a little out). Even for the events that finish at 5pm GMT this is still completely doable for my American brethren.
Could you respond to clarify if these times are going to change in the future to cater towards more countries worldwide? Sorry didn't mean to make it seem that it's just UK that have difficulty.
Thanks,
James

The end-times of the events have always switched between those two times. Sometimes they inlcude an 'uneven' event that will move the time from one to the other and back. And yes, the current end-times suck for us Europeans
I've already suggested somewhere else that the fairest method (IMHO) would be to have more (like, maybe 4 or so) end times that are used in turn...that way there should be a 'good' ending time in it for everybody0 -
Indeed, they are currently very strange finish times for the events. If the devs can give a good reason why they are set to these times then at least it would have some basis. But at present I can think of it being nothing but favouring their larger fan base. I feel like I'm working extra hard to raise my abilities and ISO score while some people play at a much more leisurely pace than myself.
I imagined that it would have been raised in the past but went 4 pages back in this section of the forum and could see nothing relating to it so wanted to raise it. If a reason has already been given then I'm afraid I've missed that so if any devs or forum admins could clarify that would be great.
Cheers,

I think that the twice a week tourneys are a partial attempt to address this; the old double shots that ended Wednesday at 9 o' clock am (GM-5) were a nod to players outside of Eastern Standard in the states.
They should weight time zones by player volume and distribute ending times accordingly. Just to be fair and have the widest and craziest assortment of end times possible.0 -
I am in UK and have yet to have an event finish at a reasonable time esp during the week. Even 5pm is no good for me as I am just finishing work and driving home!
I have resigned my self to the fact that i cant compete in the last hours of a tournament so I play till about 12pm/1am and then just hope i dont drop too far down the rankings to avoid the good prizes. I refuse to pay for shields because I dont want to put realmoney just to protect myself and also i dont agree with the concept of shields anyway. (but thats another discussion!
I can usually end up in the top 75 i not the top 45 if i push it and as my characters arent particuarly high level yet the 2* covers i get for that are fine with me. As I level up and begin to aim for the 3* cover prizes this will become much more of a problem.0
