Colossus Immovable Object

Is Immovable Object supposed to dampen damage even while he's stunned?

I don't see why not. Stunned or not, his giant metal body is still in the way...
  • ...but it's not. The way the power description reads, it works because he jumps to the front to absorb the damage. If he's stunned, then he can't jump to the front, and consequently shouldn't be mitigating damage dealt.
If it's really supposed to operate this way, the description needs updated.

He jumps to the front when you fire the ability, and after that it's just a matter of standing there without moving. That sounds easy for a stunned person to do.

This is a case where the flavor text and the rules of the game don't perfectly align. Because it's actually an abstract puzzle game with a bunch of Marvel flavor thrown on top, there are a number of situations where one can complain about these sort of perceived inconsistencies.

A common example is traps -- many traps indicate in their description that the owning character does something when they're triggered (Daredevil's Ambush is the most common one), while some do not (Detonation, Caltrops). In the end, though, they're all just trap tiles, and they can resolve whether or not the owner is stunned. Sometimes, you have to accept the abstractness.
