I was kind of sad that I wasn't going to be able to run Jeanbuster and then I saw that it was a at 1K.

Gives me a chance to take a break from PvP and just take it easy and hit the 800 cover and call it good because that Fury cover would just be 1000 ISO for my 5/5/1 Fury.

Where's the winfinite from that? Nothing makes Yellow again for More Recharge. :U (still sounds darn brutal, though.)

I've used IM40/GSBW/Scarlet Witch to some nice success. IM40 charging both Green and Purple is a pretty big help. Only problem is that after Scarlet and Widow cause a ton of cascades with their new AP, IM40's still too stunned to use his blue!

Also, I wonder if 5* Spidey's a good choice for those lucky enough to have him. I mean, you got an enemy that stuns themselves.

I've been having lots of fun with an old favorite duo - Gamora and Iron Fist. When Recharge resolves Gamora starts tanking four colors, so you can use Bad Reputation to get really mean strike tiles. Only problem is there may not be enough yellow tiles on the board at that Point...

that's exactly what I found. that is a favorite pairing of mine as well and by the time I got to 12 black, both team's yellows had fired and there were not enough yellow to warrant spending the ap. had a few early matches that went well with them and a few where I took some damage. high enough now where I've moved up to cyke and either ice or jean, but I love fist/gamora.

they work well with hood to just slow the opponent down - ran that a lot in shield sim last season. fist is too many levels ahead now and tanks either green or black, can't remember. anyway, that (with hood) adds blue to gamora's tanking, but that team doesn't have a blue user.

Matchmaking in this one seems busted for me... Despite being 1700 points behind the leader, I can only find enemies worth 5 - 8 points

That 2 turn stun after recharge goes off has saved me a few times. Bring all the pain you can on Iron Man before he gets his blue and red off in your face. Sure you take an Iron Fist kick in the mean time but... thats not game-ending.

Bizarrely I barely saw anyone pairing Iron Man with Cap America on my push up, everyone seems far too attached the Cage/Fist combo. That made this event much easier for me.

Cage in particular seems like a suboptimal partner for IM40. Iron Man will likely take all the yellow AP and transform it to other colors, so Righteous Uppercut is out. And even with a 3/5/5 Cage, you still aren't getting any black AP from Recharge.
After experimenting some with various teams, I ended up doing the final climb with X-force Deadpool and Professor X. Worked surprisingly well.

I started my 8pm slice at 6:34pm. I rode lvl 345 OML, Champ IM40 and Champ Steve all the way to a 7 place finish with 1024 points. I lost one game along the way due to unreal cascades against OML. I've been jumping into slices with 1.5 to 2 hours left in order to get that 1K progression seeing as I have yet to break 1.3 when I go in for the long haul. This is the best option for me at this time.
