Shadowcat (Kitty Pryde) star.pngstar.pngstar.pngstar.png

blueflag.png Just Phasing Through 9 bluetile.png
Shadowcat's mutant phasing allows her to escape from dangerous situations. Converts a random basic blue tile to an invisibility tile. While invisible, this power becomes Phase With Me If You Want To Live.

Shadowcat stretches her limits to get her friends out of danger. Creates a 2-turn countdown tile that makes her teammates invisible while active.
(Passive) Shadowcat's phasing is bad for electronics. While she is invisible, destroy 1 AP in the enemy's strongest color when your team matches team-up tiles.
2. Destroy 2 AP in the enemy's strongest color when matching team up tiles.
3. Countdown tile increased to 3 turns
4. Destroy 2 AP in 2 strongest enemy colors.
5. Destroy 3 AP in 2 strongest enemy colors. Countdown tile increased to 4 turns.

Shadowcat grabs an enemy and phases them into the wall. Stuns target enemy for 2 turns and creates a 2-turn countdown tile.
(Passive) Countdown tile deals 200 damage to stunned enemies at the start of each turn.
2. Deals 400 damage to stunned enemies.
3. Stuns for three turns. Countdown increased to three turns.
4. Deals 1400 damage to stunned enemies.
5. Deals 2100 damage to stunned enemies. Countdown and stun increased to 4 turns.

blackflag.png Have you met my pet? 12 blacktile.png
Lockheed attacks with ferocious loyalty, blasting the enemy with fire and leaving them burning. Deals 800 damage and creates a strength 80 attack tile.
2. Deals 1200 damage.
3. Deals 1500 damage, creates 2 strength 80 attack tiles
4. Deals 2000 damage, 2 strength 150 attack tiles.
5. Deals 3000 damage. Creates 3 Strength 150 attack tiles

Whether the AP destroying should be part of the countdown or just passive any time she's invisible is something to consider. Damage and cost need tweaking, probably lower on blackflag.png and slightly lower on yellowflag.png (1500~1600 at max rank?).

I would expect her more towards the release X-Men Apocalypse. That's been the M.O., at least given the movie-to-character tie-in formula.. However.... Apocalypse *WOULD* (guessing here) probably be an Ultron/Galactus type event. Additionally, We're about due for a 4* Psylocke, Warren Worthington, or maybe even a 3* Jubilee?

Given the 4-after-4-after-4 * character release, a 3* , even Jubilee, would be welcome.

Well, if they would release Archangel, it would be in conjuction with Apocalypse. Then there's War Machine and Winter Soldier for Civil War hopefully. I don't think Shadowcat is major to Apocalypse, since the movies she was actually in take place later, but now Angel is appearing in this when he was introduced in X-Men 3 as young. The continuity is kind of screwed there. She's just been one of my favorites for a long time and I enjoyed conceiving what possible powers she could wield.

I would say Kitty would be 5* quality now that she has godlike powers post Black Vortex event. Like the abilities, but she can Phase with an entire planet and the universe now, so she is def 5* quality.

Just one question for clarifications: If Shadowcat destroyed the enemy's strongest colored tiles, does she gain AP from the destroyed tiles?

No, the tiles aren't destroyed (although that's an interesting idea, to destroy tiles in the enemy's strongest color), the AP pool itself loses AP. AP is "destroyed" (like She-Hulk's Furious Charge) not "stolen" (like Black Widow's Espionage or Aggressive Recon).

Now if there was someone who had the power to destroy tiles, rather than AP, it would probably have to be a two-part, temporary power (countdown or trap) and only hit basic tiles at lower levels, and start getting special tiles later (similar to how Scarlet Witch Arcane Bolt has to hit rank 3 before it can affect enemy specials). Gaining AP from destroyed tiles is the tricky bit. More likely, it would be "deals X damage per tile destroyed. destroyed tiles don't generate AP" or "destroyed tiles generate AP, but do not deal damage", but not both. Power names like Molecular Breakdown could apply, or Acidic Spray.

If Kitty is made it's really unlikely it would be of her post-Black Vortex as by then she was/is more a part of the Guardians of the Galaxy then she is a part of the X-Men, and it's her role with the X-Men the game would probably want to utilize as it's how people know her best.

I mean I think that people that have followed her over the years wont have a problem with which ever variation of her they used. I've always been a fan of Kitty, but I am even a bigger fan of hers now post Black vortex.
