Retaliation question in PVP

If someone attacks you in PVP, and you don't retaliate, does that prevent them from attacking you again? If so, for how long? The whole tournament?

it only gives them a chance to attack you once again...
    stupid mechanic but whatever...
  • That would only be true if their recent attacks put them at a higher mmr than you (or your loss put you lower).

But if neither of your mmr's changed due to the attack they could find you again.

You can be attacked multiple times by the same person even if you don't retaliate. It doesn't happen often, but there are times when you have a limited set of matches in your MMR group so you'll get attacked multiple times or you might attack the same person multiple times.
  • There's nothing stopping someone from attacking you repeatedly if your team is perceived as especially vulnerable. In fact this is why you can retaliate in the first place. If you hit back at the guy who attacked you 5 times and took 40 points back, whoever attack you will probably back off when he realize these aren't free points.
