animation wont pay well

Ok so I like anime and what not and im a otaku not a weeaboo even though im learning Japanese. Anyway Im deciding on a carer and I need to know which will pay more I have experience with both and can do both but the thing is that animation is cooler for effects and is cheaper but america is doing 3D and Japan is doing 2D, I would like to move to Japan an animate but not for a while if at all but video is easyer to produce and is more popular and im worrying that animation wont pay well like video so im thinking of doing film as my main carer and doing animation on the side as a hobby. What do you think?
