Split alliances

Any other alliances out there get randomly split in half for the galactus event?

Half my alliance never got access to the alliance fight but were instead shunted into their own fight. Now some are saying that everything alliance related is on some weird delay.

I already filed a report with cs. Wondering if anyone else experienced this our if this is/had been the norm....
