Getting ready for some weekend gaming? If so, we'd like to let you know that Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign is now available for the Xbox One console! D3 Go! and Marvel Entertainment today announced Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign is now available worldwide for Xbox One.

Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign is developed by WayForward and is available for $14.99 MSRP. In addition, players will receive all the already released DLC packs (Science Friction – a $3.99 MSRP value and The Case of the Cold Chimichangas – a $3.99 MSRP value) for FREE and exclusively for Xbox One users, players will also receive a FREE Thor: Goddess of Thunder character (a $1.99 MSRP value) to add to their roster. Please note, Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign is already available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4 and Thor: Goddess of Thunder will not be available for these platforms until March 15th.

In Marvel Puzzle Quest: Dark Reign, players create a team from a roster of Marvel Super Heroes and embark upon a global journey that features match-3 and story-driven gameplay. Join Iron Man, Thor, Wolverine, Hawkeye, and many more, battling against a host of Super Villains including Venom, Doctor Doom, Magneto, and The Hood in a struggle to obtain and control the ever-mysterious Iso-8.

Players will assemble a squad of three characters with upgradable abilities, choosing from a roster of heroes and villains alike, all to combat a common enemy. With this team-based gameplay comes a new level of strategy and customization, allowing audiences to call upon specific heroes that are best suited for the job and to create an ultimate Marvel dream team as they travel across famous locations and visit familiar faces from the Marvel Universe. For the first time ever in Marvel Puzzle Quest (for console players only), players will be able to put their squads to the test in both online and local multiplayer.

Here is one request for a port to PC available on Steam. Hopefully others have asked for it too... has a PC port been passed around, battered about, strongly considered etc.?

I don't see why they would do this, as you can already get MPQ via Steam?... and it doesn't cost ~$15.

You can get the normal free-to-play version of MPQ on Steam, but not this version, which is a fully-contained single purchase game.

No importing's gonna happen because this is an entirely different game, format wise.

No star rarities, all characters rebalanced around such (and 5/5/5 covers), no health packs as damage from battles do not carry over, no Iso (as characters level up by EXP and using them) or HP (unlimited roster slots).

No grinding nodes for placement, just for covers and EXP, no rankings, no slow progress over months upon months of playing.

It's Marvel Puzzle Quest without all the Free to Play junk.

It's the version I'd recommend over the mobile version, at least.

...shame it's got far fewer characters, and the last event on it is Deadpool vs MPQ as DLC.

But it is a totally different format I'd totally recommend to people who hate Free 2 Play games and their RNG progressing money-begging crud.

I like this game for Xbox one , I really do , I just wish there were more characters like the mobile version! I want Jean Grey and Phoenix and Elektra and other people , I'll pay for them !!!! Please don't ignore this it would make me very happy .
