Overwriting protect tiles

I was playing in the gauntlet against Luke cage. Whenever my classic magneto would cast his protect tiles he would place one over the existing enemy Luke cage protect tile. I don't remember this ever happening before. I let the match drag on so I could cast his protect tiles four times and it happened three out of four times.

I know at 4 covers it can overwrite enemy protect, attack, and strike tiles. At 5 it can also overwrite enemy countdowns.
