Akroan Jailer - not disabling

Akroan Jailer's disable feature isn't working. It will allow you to choose which creature you'd like, but it doesn't disable them. I just started playing Gideon, so I don't know if this an ongoing problem. I searched the forums and didn't see anything, so here it is.

  • It only disables one creature until the end of your turn. It's mostly so the opponent doesn't block or to use with the destroy target disabled creature spell.

Yeah, it's not disabling any creatures ever...I understand it should disable a creature when played. It is not doing that.

Just to spell it out more clearly, it's until the end of the same turn that you played the Jailer, which does not include any part of any of your opponent's turns. So, the expected behaviour is:
    * If you disable a creature with defender/reach/vigilance, that creature will not block during your attacks.
    * The creature you disable will attack you on the opponent's turn, i.e. it will not miss a single attack as a result of the disable.

If you've seen a problem, then that problem must be that a creature with defender etc. blocked one of your attackers. If your problem is that you're immediately getting attacked by the creature you disabled then that's not a bug.

There could well be a bug, the ability is so worthless even when it works that it has probably not been tested by many people. But it's worth being clear that the card is designed to be almost useless, since that's likely to cause confusion.
  • It does "disable" but boy fully in my game.

The card becomes blue like it is disabled, my they still defend sometimes.

It is not a useless card either. I use this affect to destroy monsters or stop my menace from attacking their monsters. Or would if it worked correctly.
