Another season, and another grip of tokens. I've been doing this a while and it seems that more people like to see the results than I thought. So here we are again. This time around was different than seasons past, as the introduction of championing drove me to open everything a little early. Anyway, on with the show!

Observations and (purely subjective) conclusions:

1. First and foremost, championing is the greatest thing this game has ever seen. Even better than 20-man lightning rounds, and if you've seen my previous posts you know how highly I regard those. Now almost every single token opened is more exciting. Two star pulls now have more meaning than just another 250 Iso, although I do feel like all champion levels should be worth a little more than their raw sale value. Still, it's fantastic! And that's not even going into how glorious respeccing at will is. Holy ****, I get hard thinking about it.
2. On the other hand pulling covers that you really can't use (ie: The two purple Kingpin covers on my 12-cover, 5 purple Kingpin) hurt a lot more because I'm losing out on the chance to get those sweet champion levels and rewards. Worse still is pulling covers for **** characters. Overall I pulled two Cho, three Star-Turd, two Invisible Woman, two Mr. Fantastic, two Elektra, and a whopping SIX Faptain covers. That's seventeen completely useless covers. That pile of steaming poop is made worse because not only will I never use those buttholes except when forced to, championing means they could have been stacked onto champion levels to get decent rewards. Hell, I'd rather have pulled seventeen more Moonstone covers than those jerks!
3. Silver tokens paid out like a mofo. Nine 3* pulls out of just over 400 tokens is crazy good. Hell, almost makes them look better than the gold tokens, eh?
4. Conversely, although I didn't track it, it felt like I pulled a lot fewer 2* out of those silvers. I'll take the 3's without complaint, though.
5. I feel like I did really well for 5* pulls. Although my payout was just over the stated odds at 11%, scoring one each for Phoenix was a real hit! Still, Logan black continues to elude me. Now he's 0/2/3 on my roster and not really ready for primetime just yet. But when it comes in...oh boy...party time. The really funny thing is that I got several Surfer covers I was looking for, yet for some reason I don't feel compelled to put Iso into him and get him into action. Maybe it's the fact that for the first time in about a year I feel the Iso crunch. Or maybe it's that he looks pretty weak sitting next to Logan. I dunno. In the end, my Iso is going to championing more 4* and 3* characters until more covers for him come in...and thanks to the stupid legendary token split, that won't be anytime soon.
6. Changing cover-buy from HP to CoPs really, really hurts now that those Kingpin covers have nowhere to go. I honestly never thought it would matter to me, but here I am complaining that I can't dump 2500 HP into him immediately. I'm not usually one to go full-on insulting, but tinykitty you for that, Demiurge. I've seen the logic, I don't agree with it, and now that's it's affecting me personally, you can tinykitty my tinykittying tinykitty. (PS: Championing is still the ****, so we're cool.)
