I expected this would be a new character release and prepared myself mentally for some grinding.
Then I saw the new character was in fact a five-star and realized placement wouldn't matter.
Then I see the Cyclops covers I need as top 10 and top 5 rewards...
Might grind this after all. Not quite decided yet.0 -
I am happy the Legendary is at a low 36k for a 4 day event0
-
Why do some people have a token vault for the event and some do not?0
-
Freeze Buddy is just stupid. I'm 1 for 5, with the four losses being very quick and very painful. the sole victory was by the skin of my teeth.
what are you using?0 -

Luckily I got CP on first try=)0 -
I've had good luck with Steve, Falcon and IF. Falcon slows down countdowns and improves IF's fist, Steve saves his shield attacks for when a countdown is about to finish.
Good spot on the Legendary token requirement! Definitely glad I decided to grind this.0 -

thanks all. lots of interesting options. I definitely tried the counters for the strike tiles (Loki steal/DD destroy/Falcon overwrite/Rogers overwrite), but i just can't get anyone going quickly enough to make them work. I didn't think about Elektra. she is boosted up to the top 6 of my roster for this event, but she still is way undercovered (3.1.1). Nonetheless, I will try her.
at this point, I am 2 for 12, or thereabouts. I did emerge victorious after wiping the first 3 or 4 pages of my roster (including burning through 9 HP on the stronger characters, like thor, rogers, cyc, IF). ended up using stormneto, who are half the level (112) of BE/Muscles (224-225). used switch, hoping her Blue would spawn near Tommy Guns. which it maybe did once or twice.0 -
I went black panther hulk and lazy cap with a radar sense team up. Blew up CDs as soon as they appeared and tried to block every purple possible. Saved up some blacks and reds while killing bullseye. Then unloaded. As long as I could keep the strike tiles from appearing I could survive three tommy guns. Used hulk to blow up the board if CDs were about to pop and caps red if it missed. Had success with my low level winfinite as well but that was completely dependent upon where scarlet witchs blue landed.0
-
Capt. America, SW, and OBW have worked well for me. Just make sure to match blue as much as possible and take down Bullseye first. Not surprisingly, the node isn't that hard if you can prevent the countdown tiles from going off.0
-
yeah I tried OBW as well just to extend CDs and if you miss a couple of TGs, she goes down0
-
Switch helps power up her pink though to steal the blue the muscles generate. That has been the team I've been running so far on that node with zero issues. A really bad board might make things interesting though I guess but that is always the case.0

Was having issues with that one too. Beat it pretty easy with Cap, She Hulk, & Loki.0 -
I agree, Cap & Loki are a viable solution. I threw in my 3* HT to tank Loki's colors while Bullseye is still up, but Loki's Trickery to steal the shields/strike tiles and Cap's shield to overwrite any Tommy Guns I couldn't match work really well for me.0

With a powered up Capt America only dealing 900 more damage with his red what is the point of even using powered up characters?0
-
Blykmyk wrote:With a powered up Capt America only dealing 900 more damage with his red what is the point of even using powered up characters?
a. 900 is not insignificant.
b. higher health
c. higher match damage
thats about it.0 -
The match damage is like 4 per tile so it is insignificant. And with the opponents hp and powers staying the same I'd say that 900 is pretty insignificant. This will really impact then characters that are decent not great....there will be no reason to use them when powered up0
-
I've pretty much stopped using Cap. The boosted bug really sucks. I would rather just run 3* clops. I can pretty much run the entire clear with Switch, OBW and clops with one or two HPs.0
-
I've been pretty successful with patch Loki lcap usually all colors boosted.
Going to try some of the other interesting combos suggested here.0 -
Been using cap, obw, and rocket and groot. My caps blue isn't high enough to over write countdowns so I use obw to delay them. If I don't need to delay I use groots blue and start destoying them with simple matches.
This works well for my levels at 104 and slowly rising. Need ISO and some more covers but I finally hit the point where most of my important 3*s have on average 10 covers and are useable.0
