Season XXII: Did you make it?

New year, new you!
Hey everyone, its your local Blahahah here with a question for all you who just finished your season...
Did you complete your goals this time around? Did you have any set? Any you didn't achieve? Any you want to achieve?

With the new year and the new champion system coming into play, I figure some new seasonal goals are in order!
So, I ask you community, what do you plan to do for the next season? What did you do this season?
Let everyone know your struggles, your triumphs, your "just-made-its" and "almost-made-its"!

For me...

Goals achieved -
Get 1000 in a PvP event (I think I got it in like 5)
Get 2000 in shield sim (aww yeah)
Fully cover a 4* (Ant man. Woo!)
Level a 4* to 200 (Ant man. Woo again!)
Get the heroic 10 pack
Get top 25 in an event
Get over 5000 points this season
Get over 6000 points this season
Get over 7000 points this season
Get over 8000 points this season
Get over 9000 points this season

Almost there -
Level 2 4*s to 200
Get 10000 points this season
Get 1300 points in a PvP event
Get top 250 in my season bracket
Get top 10 in an event

Not even close (goals for next time) -
Fully cover 2 4*s
Fully cover 3 4*s
Level 3 4*s to 200
Level a 4* to 270
Level 2 4*s to 270
Level 3 4*s to 270
Get top 100 in my season bracket
Get top 5 in an event
Champion all of my 3*s
Earn 1000 in every PvP event in a season
Get a 5*


What about you guys? Its a new year, time for new goals, time for new strategies and strengths.

Get first place in season! Tick. Admittedly that's half from joining on a very late season bracket, and half from spending all my stockpiled hp, dp points, and time pushing to 1000 for each of the 3 events I actually got to play.

Shame I missed all of the 4* rounds, but I'll live...

planned goals:

* t50 in a top bracket. with an extra push late in the season, was able to finish 43rd with 17299 pts - bettered my previous best (last season by 1500 pts)
* progress my 4*s: granted, iceman and Cyclops (will finish him tomorrow) are from $$ (and one of my purchases was a club purchase and got lots more LTs from it), most of the rest of my progress is from rewards/pulls/championing/etc. when I came into the season, had 21 4* characters with a total of 192 covers among them. had 4 characters at 13 covers and 5 at 11-12 covers. I know have the 23 characters with a total of 257 covers. 10 are at 13 covers and another 8 are at 11-12, so I have 18 4* either done on covers or close to it. problem now is iso, but that will come in time.
* progress on my 5*s (specifically wanted oml yellow, obviously). came into season with 2 5* characters with 8 total covers. now have all 3 with 13 total covers. my SS went from 6 to 8 covers and I'd love to pour iso into him (can level to 275 if I wanted), but nervous to do so. no OML yellow, but did get jean's green, so looking forward to using her rising from the ashes.

unplanned achievements:

* had no expectation to hit 1300 every event with the holidays, but had some down time at opportune times and was able to post 1300+ for every event this season.
* had no goal of hitting 2K, but in a great event late in season (doom), decided to throw an extra shield hop into the event and ended with 2064.

now my biggest/only need is iso. covers made a huge jump. now I just have to manage/choose between leveling 3*s for championing, 4*s for championing, or SS. very successful season, albeit expensive. don't plan on putting any more money into the game for a looooong while. maybe ever. whenever I choose to level ss, I'd hope I could drastically reduce my hopping hp needs and play much more hp neutral overall (at some pt, including slots).

Season Goals:
*hit 1000 in a pvp
Managed to achieve this for 1st/only time on Naughty or Nice. Still so proud of that.
The hope going forward is to hit 1000 when I really really want the 4* cover (like hulk-buster red, deadpool, ghost rider, etc).
That being said I found it very difficult and wish I had a top tier 4* to make it happen a little easier.

Unexpected Goal Achieved:
*hitting 2000 in shield sim
From the moment was changed to the sim reward I wanted to hit 2000, like no other sim before it.
I honestly didn't expect to, and it was only 2 days before the end of the season that I really pushed/committed and reach that magnificent goal.
Not sure I could actually do it again, but I'd be willing to try if needed.

Goal not achieved/hope for next season:
*Get an optimum 4* fully covered.
For me that mean either a hulkbuster, redhulk, jean grey, cyclops, iceman.
Anyone of them. And yet for each I am missing a cover, for most it is their best cover Im missing.

Just hoped to make 10k in the season and finished with 11408 so I was happy. Spent some significant money this season but cover maxed Iceman, HB, and Rulk. Now need just ISO to hopefully start hitting 1.3k in pvp.

Big goal was to hit 10k in sim: complete
Finish first in an event: Complete 2x.
Beat personal best of 26xx in an event: complete, hit 31xx in one.
Finish first in season bracket: not compete but was 3rd behind King Dreadnaught and DJ Toessa, so I will almost consider that complete.

Hey, still great job on the progress. You're makin strides, and every step forward is permanent. Remember that, no one can take that step away from you.
Even if you walk back, even if you stop, that step will still have been taken.

My goals for this season were:
Hit 1K in the events that have covers I need (Completed)
Hit 10K earlier this season so I don't stress on the last event/Sim (Completed)

Unplanned goals I hit:
Hit 1300 for the first time ever in a PVP thanks to some tasty cakes people kept leaving unattended.

Observations:
Didn't do as well in season placement because I was in an insane bracket this season. Actually broke top 250 last season barely reaching 10K. This season 11K barely got me in the upper 200s.
Having a max covered/leveled Jeanbuster definitely lowers the stress when making the run to 1K. I swear I would have a heart attack trying to make that run with 3*s.
