Champion Respec Questions

With all the discussions about economy and rewards, what's really not clear to me is how respec works. Here's my example:

My LThor is 4/4/5. I want him to be 3/5/5.

1. To respec him:

Do I just pay the champion fee, and I can then immediately respec?
-OR-
Do I have to apply another yellow cover after champion to be able to respec?

In other words, is respec still limited by the covers you've acquired?

2. Regarding in game mechanics:
Right now my defensive PVP team is what I won my last fight with. If I respec after that fight, do they see the pre-respec version or the post-respec version?

Both solid questions. I imagine the Defensive one will work like it does now: whatever you win that match with is what others will see. If you win another match with a different spec, anyone that queues you up after you win said match will be fighting vs the new ability spec.

As for your first question, that's a really good point. How does that work? I think we're going to have to figure that out ourselves when it goes live...we're the beta testers! icon_lol.gif

    1) It is almost obvious it is the immeduate respec, since your other option is the current respec solution to every character.

    2) Probably it is the version you won the fight with.

Bigger question about new respec system is:

Can you respec to 12 or less covers? like 5/5/2
Can you totally remove a power? like 5/5/0
    Can you make a character powerless? 0/0/0 ? icon_e_smile.gif

The respec option is part of the fee to begin championing. So since your Thor is 445, I'm gonna assume he's maxed, you will be able to respec freely after you pay the one time ISO payment into champion.

Highly doubt it. I'm assuming the functionality of the respec is the same current, i.e. there's only an upgrade button.

Respec'ing enables the Upgrade button on the powers screen for powers below 5. There's no way to downgrade a power without upgrading another power. So no 5/5/2 IM40.

Glad to hear that. My LThor is 153, but obviously this is good incentive to level him and then champion.
