Best HP Use Before the Change

My suggestion to anyone using HP but not the full amount to cover max a character: do not buy a 5th color in any color. Because you can respec at 13 covers (once championed), the original build isn't important anymore. What is important is that you don't have to throw away any covers. So it is not worth buying a 5th color and risk getting a useless one later. Just go up to 4 in all of them and wait for the next 1k reward. It should only be about a month, two tops, before you get that last cover. The only problem you run into then is ISO cost, which while a great cost, is less of a problem then hoping to get a specific 4 star color in the future and having to throw away 4 star covers.

I would also suggest looking at recent 1k rewards to see if one of the colors you wanted was recently awarded, so you can expect one of the other two colors to be rewarded in the next month or two.

If you want to take this to the next level, you can even try to evenly spend your last HP on good characters rather than focus on one or two, to prevent getting useless covers in the future. It can also potentially give you more time before you need to ISO max a character to champion them if you don't go buying a 5th color for your characters yet.

This is my suggestion to maximize your last HP before the change.

I am going to go with buying out the DDQ vault. You end up with enough Health packs to punish EoTS, enough covers to almost fully max champ your 2*s, big chunks of iso and hp, and a couple 4*s and LT.

I bought my 11th, 12th and 13th JG covers, because even if I get extras for her I'll be perfectly fine using them for Champion levels.

What did I miss with all of this HP being replaced by CPs? Can I get a link to the OP? Because I'm totally lost about this. Do I need to spend all my HP before it switches to a CP only purchasing system?? Halp.

Power Upgrades

Beginning January 7th, you can use Command Points to purchase Power Upgrades for your 3-Star or better heroes. This replaces Hero Points. 1-Star and 2-Star Power Upgrades can no longer be purchased with Hero Points.

Power Upgrades will now cost:

3-Star: 20 Command Points
4-Star: 120 Command Points
5-Star: 720 Command Points

Note that the date listed has been changed to the 13th, but they haven't updated the op with that change, because d3/demiurge gonna be d3/demiurge. You can still use hp for shields, roster spots, rainbow boosts, etc, just not cover purchases. At least as far as we know, they haven't been answering any questions.

Basically you'll no longer be able to directly purchase missing covers using HP. You will only be able to purchase missing covers using CP. HP will still be used (for now) for roster slots, shields and health packs.

This change is going to happen on Wednesday, January 13th. It was originally scheduled for today, but many users expressed an opinion that less than twenty four hours was not enough notice for such a drastic change.

It's not clear how players of the game who don't come to the forums will find out about this change. Originally there seemed to be no plan to inform them at all. Hopefully there will be a message incorporated as part of the update later today.
