Innistrad

Saw 4 new sections of story mode last night that were "locked." They were labeled as innistrad. I expect that's what's coming next.

  • Oh boy, Innistrad!

Maybe they'll remake duels of the planeswalkers, I'm really sad MTG discontinued those.
  • More content is nice, but I considering that the story so far is just lots of battles without anything linking them, I couldn't care less about where the new content takes place.
  • Well I mean that is what duels of the planeswalkers was too, and people loved those.
  • I've seen this as well. Interesting considering Shadows is coming out in a few months.
  • wonder why these arent on my game..even checked for an update and still nothing...

The half-assed expansion for the Microprose game that only gave us the **** cards from Legends and The Dark?

Shadalar was a work of art.

I remember Shandalar was awesome when it was released. Taught me the difference between an instant and an interrupt. Those were the days...

    Maybe the first one rofl.

The later ones were good, with the exception of duels 2015 where pretty much there were so many microtransactions that it was less expensive to just play magic.
  • what about a tempest expansion...those were the days

They haven't discontinued them. The most recent iteration was called Magic Duels, and I believe they recently released Battle for Zendikar on it.

Gasp! I'll have to check it out. Is it on steam?
  • It sure is.
  • If you didn't see the new story mode options, it's because they were only up for a few hours. I stumbled upon them accidentally.

As for why innistrad, I believe they're going to release Sorin and start allowing multicolored decks. All the origins planeswalkers don't have multicolored versions.

Once multicolored planeswalkers come out, they will totally outclass mono colored ones. Even if they have worse abilities and worse mana generation.
  • I can see Multicolored done right. Maybe they would make it so you get no bonuses from any matches besides colors you're in? Or maybe make it so you only get mana bonuses for cards that match the color of the gems matched.
  • Multi colored planeswalkers already exist, my Chandra at level 23 is red and green.
  • No she's not, unless you are able to add Red cards to her deck. The color display during a match is simply wrong. My Nissa shows up as red/green/white during matches, even when she has nothing but green cards in her deck.

Don't check her color during a match, but in the planeswalker menu to see her true color.

Edit: Come to think of it, Greed, Red and White are Nissa's strong colors, so that's probably what the ingame display is trying to tell us. Not the Deck color, but the best match colors.
  • I think it has to do with the color of cards actually in the deck. So if you have a red/green card in the deck, it shows your deck as red/green. Add a white/green card and you'd have all 3.

No. It shows the colours you get extra mana for matching like blaveMPQ said.
