Buying HP not working on Steam

When I try to buy HP during the holiday sale on Steam, I keep getting a message "Purchase failed. Unable to complete purchase at this time. Please try back at another time." Any chance you are aware of the issue? It has been doing this for the past few hours.

    Ok, looks like purchases are working again.

    Steam has been encountering intermittent issues this holiday season. Unfortunately that's not something the MPQ people can really address, but I'm glad it's not persisting.
