Doom's diabolical plot bug???

I noticed in the last couple of days that doom's diabolical plot might be buggy.
When the AI uses him I notice that the "diabolical plot" banner would show up two or three time in the same round, usually after a cascade. Not sure if the AI is placing more then one trap tile.
Anyone else see this?
