I got mine back in 1997 when I needed a nickname when signing up to Yahoo. It's simply a play on my real name. I'm pretty much the only DaveyPitch (or Davey_Pitch) anywhere, so if you ever see the nickname in other games or on other forums, it's very likely me.0

Mine is my first name + my mother's maiden last name.0

In grade school, it was trendy to call everyone by their last names. I've got a nice long last name and 3rd graders could barely say it. It got shortened to "Riggy", it stuck around for all of my school years and a dozen years later it still made for a good online handle.0

Normally I use the name Rmondoh since it's the way to say my real name phonetically. However I decided to change it up and just leave it as Mondo.0

About ten years ago, my wife and I were leaving a grocery store under a bloated, orange-colored moon. My wife asked me, "Is that what they call a 'hunter's moon'?"
I told her that I didn't know, asking incredulously, "Who do I look like, Jon Moon?"
I realized that that would be an awesome nickname, and told her that I was going to make it my nickname. She told me (rather foolishly) that I couldn't pick my own nickname, so I've since made it my personal quest to make "Jon Moon" my nickname. Every alias, video game handle, avatar name, etc. that I've used in the interim is some variant or segment of the name "Jon Moon."
The Mrs. has long since been proven wrong, as there are several people who think of me as "Jon" or "Moon" based on their Facebook or WoW interactions with me.
17 is my favorite number.0 -
The Ladder wrote:The team-mates in my pool team (I play English 8-ball pool) dubbed me 'The Ladder' about 5 years ago, because I am tall (6'5"). I've used it as my screen name everywhere since then.
Strangely, despite being tall, I have an aversion to heights - so you wouldn't catch me climbing any ladders!
I think we need a tall guys who don't like heights alliance0 -

Lanky Acrophobia... Hmmm, might have to work on the naming convention lol0 -
In the early 2000's I shared a house with some friends and most nights were taken up by multiplayer N64 and recreational drug use. Perfect Dark was in the heaviest rotation (also Conker's Bad Fur Day) and that game supported multiple save files for MP settings. bahukma was my handle and I've used it in pretty much every game since.0

I worked as a picker in the freezer during summer break at a regional Dreyers/Edy's warehouse in Houston. Nestle was using Dreyer's distribution network to stock supermarkets with their products. They had Bugpops and I thought it was such a strange name. I think it was one of those products sold to concession stands and ice cream trucks. I don't recall ever seeing them at the store. This was maybe 2001.0

Mine's a fun one: one of my favorite video game characters ever is Setzer Gabbiani from Final Fantasy VI. In case you haven't played it (shame on you!) he's this albino gambling airship guy, and (in my opinion) a total badass. I get the name from that fact that he flies (Pilot) an airship (Dirigible). I think it's the perfect online moniker.0

Used a random name generator in an MMO a long time ago, and have used it ever since. Funny though, is that many people think I hawked it from terminator. No relation however. And whenever I make alts, they usually have a another nickname, but Skyedyne is the one I tend to roll with now. Easy, and never taken (thank god!).0

I thought the pilots name was Sid. All those FF games get jumbled together on me. My favorite part of that game was the collectible card game.0 -

Cid flies many of the airships in the FF series. In 6 (or 3 for us 'Muricans) it was Setzer. Who threw darts at people. And had a slot machine as his special. pffft. Sabin, Locke and Terra ftw.
P.S. Umaro and Gogo were pretty cool too.0 -
I got mine from a WWF wrestler from my childhood.

I was so upset when he killed Jake "The Snake" Robert's snake. never hated an actor more than I did at that moment. (Yes I know it was fake now, but I was young then, lemme alone)0 -
misspelled Lokid (c) Tom Hiddleston
kidding, I'm simply an introvert and I don't open up to people easily.0 -

Pretty Simple. User311. To blend in and appear autogenerated. Sucks though cause I remember playing call of duty and all these jerks saying "Usher" this and "Usher" that.0
