Completing a "Destroy 6 enemy creatures" objective against a deck with 1 creature and 9 supports.

  • Guardians of Meletis? Or is there another one like this?
  • Yeah I definitely agree. I'm so much more happy when a mission has a 'positive' objective, such as finishing before turn 10 or not losing more than 3 creatures. With those I get to try to do my best and get rewarded when I succeed.

But the ones like you mention are totally unfun. I really dislike having to purposely build a 'sandbag' deck with my worst cards just to draw the match out to complete the objectives. It really feels like you're fighting against yourself sometimes. Like in some of those 'cast 8 spells' matches, I sometimes end up using my burn spells on my own minions just to stop myself from killing the opponent too quickly. Not a good feeling.

I always use my debuffs and removal spells on my own minions during the final turns to ascertain dominance over the AI! icon_e_wink.gif

I think this battle took me an hour the other night to complete that objective.

i tried to do that myself yesterday

for like 40 minutos he kept playing support cards that i was desperetely trying to clear but played no minion...

until he played a 3/4 that became a 12/12 with all the support cards he had and i had no way of dealing with so much health and rip

I had to cheese it by playing with Liliana and resurrecting my opponent's creatures. Otherwise you sit there for an hour while the AI plays 3 different dual-land supports over and over. Adding at least one more creature to that deck would make the objective a lot less frustrating.
  • It's complete ****. 45 turns of eating supports and killing my own creatures. For him to drop 1 creature and kill me in 2 turns. Absolute ****.

Post your deck maybe we can help you out.

There is a lot of luck involved though.

I spent an hour trying to lose 50 health and still win with 4 health left... I either started offense too soon and wiped the AI out while I had only lost 44 health, or I start the offense too late and die. Maybe I need to level my PW a little bit more.

Who did you use for that one?

I struggle with the win with ___ HP left.

Lose HP is easy with Gideon and Lifelink or the other various healing options he has.

I'm just now getting the hang with Gideon and I have 1 Lifelink character, so if I level him up a bit I should be able to handle that one a bit easier. Does the one where you have to lose 50 health track cumulative health loss? So if you take 50 damage but heal 20, does it still count?

Then there is the one where you need to win with 9 health or less left also.

Yeah you can lose 50 and still finish with max HP and complete that objective. Timing the lose with __ HP remaining has never been easy for me. It takes a perfect set of circumstances it seems to get that to work in my favor.

  • Anyone else experience this bug where it will refuse to play any other card after x number of turns?

I've tried this match about 5 times now and I can never complete that objective because it will bug out and play no cards.

Chapter 3, Part 2, Level 2: Tower Geist.

    Burst
Summon 3 or less creatures during a single fight.

Sounds easy, until you realize the enemy has Turn to Frog.

This not only turns any of your creatures into a 1/1, BUT to make matters worse, when you get turned into a frog it counts as summoning a new creature! To add insult to injury, this enemy has 115 health and can heal for 5 as his ability. Also if a frog gets turned into a frog, guess what? It counts as yet another summon.

It seems I'll have to make a sandbag deck with 1 creature and a whole bunch of buff supports and hope that I don't get turned into a frog 3 times. I have tried mana denial/drain decks too, but it doesn't seem enough to prevent the frogs.

I realize it's not impossible to get this, but the odds are so heavily stacked against you.

    The goal should be renamed:

    Frog RNG
Have 0 creatures transformed into a frog during a single fight.

I am also struggling with these stupid bonus objectives, they are badly designed, bugged, and boring... And I am still on Chapter 1, I can't imagine how frustrating they must be on the next chapters... If someone could post some strategy guide for the different kind of objectives it would be awesome. I am particularly stuck with kill X enemy minions and lose X minions. Lose X life is also pretty hard. I want to ask the devs to re-think these objectives and de-bug them.

Agreed, some of the bonus objectives are truly not worth the amount of time building your deck and playing just so you can get 8 or 15 crystals.

The solution is NOT to make them worth more crystals - these are unfun challenges. Doing boring unfun things to earn currency is what I we all do in the real world. I don't want it in my fun mobile game.
  • I honestly don't know why you people complain so much... Hard objectives that give free crystals are amazing....
I already did all the objectives except for the 7 turn ones above chapter 2 part 2 and it wasn't that hard that I would say it was no fun. It was challenging, sure, but most of the story and even PvP is not challenging at all. If it weren't for the objectives I would have long ago deleted this game.
The levels where you want to destroy creatures you can easily do with Jace or Chandra. Jace when he has more creatures or fast deck and Chandra when he has a lot of supports. I believe I might have done that particular level with basically spells and creatures that cannot attack or cannot attack alone like the 2/1 cost 3. Pack a lot of destroy support spells and deal damage spells and just sit and wait. Tweak the deck with magma insight if you really need it.

The level from tower Geist is easy with Jace and mizzium. The opponent is so dumb it sometimes just takes a Mizzium alone to win.
