I'm a veteran of real life mtg, and I've figured out how all of the abilities have been modified for the puzzle quest version except regeneration. I can't figure out how it works. Has anyone figured out this mechanic yet?

Fairly certain that if a 4/4 takes damage they regenerate x/x on their next turn, where X is regenerate x.
  • It may be the regeneration of health for your planeswalker. your planes walker will retain any damage it takes in the match

Edit: I tested Nissa, sage animist at level 4 she regained 6 hp ever 5 minutes. Level 5 upgrade was improved regelation and she now regained 7 hp every 5 minutes
  • Planeswalker regeneration is the amount of health you gain each time the timer runs down between fights.

The keyword regeneration X on a creature means the creature gets back X points of health at the beginning of your turn. This is different from paper MtG, in which damage to creatures is removed during the end step.

A Regenerate 3 creature will regain 3 health per turn. Unfortunately, this means Regenerate creatures do not survive being destroyed.

There are, however, creatures with mtg regenerate like effects, that pay their mana cost by draining your mana from another card to survive destruction.

They're actually better than regenerate because iirc they proc on death effects, unlike mtg regenerate which simply prevents one instance of destruction and taps it without going to the graveyard.
