I'm starting to play magic puzzle quest coming from marvel puzzle quest and so far really enjoying it. I had issue with marvel puzzle quest leveling characters too high too soon and making my enemies really difficult to fight, making the game infuriating and too difficult to play. Is it like this in magic puzzle quest as far as anyone knows?

I'm a few levels into the Story mode and haven't noticed this, seems like the matches are at a fixed difficulty. I only have one Planeswalker unlocked right now though so I'm not sure what will happen if I get multiple Planeswalkers leveled up.

We won't know until events start rolling out.
  • Remember aside from certain ability level breakpoints, and a tiny bit more hp (usually +4/+8 every 4 levels or so, depending on your planeswalker), the vast majority of your power comes from your cards.

I would tentatively spend 75% of my runes on cards, and only level if I feel my deck is very solid and I want the next ability breakpoint.

Matchups do seem to depend on level.

Quick Battle is level dependent with a modifier to place you higher or lower a bit depending on your win rate. The story is fixed level-wise.

How about what prizes are we actually getting out of Quick Play Leaderboard?

That's based on level differential of the opponent you're fighting.

So if I have a 95% win rate in Quick Battle...?

Sorry IceIX, what I meant was, what is the plan for when the Leaderboard "resets"? Is there a payout based on your position on the Leaderboard? If so, what are the prizes? Also, what are the ribbons used for? lol.
  • They are being very tight lipped about the whole quick battle situation, I can only assume they will be giving out rewards for your placement on the leaderboard, and I'm sure the more ribbons you have the better rewards you can aquire.
