PVE Bracket/matchmaking question
So i've been top 5 for the most part in all aspects of the simulator and I had a question about what opponents face in my bracket. Are they facing the same enemies i'm facing (3 lvl 200 heroes etc.) or are they facing easier enemies based on a hidden rating system. I ask this because i've been seeing allot and I mean allot of players running 1 star teams that aren't even fully lvl'ed so before i start calling out cheater just curious if anyone can give me a quick and concise answer about PVE in your brackets

Quick answer: We don't know.
Long answer everything scales. I mostly see 230s. Others see 170s. There is supposed to be a mix if individual and community scaling happening, but how it pans out, who knows?
Report them and let demiurge sort it out.0 -
Boosted characters make a huge difference. I can easily clear out level 200+ NPCs with a level 20 Moonstone, level 25 Hawkeye (the starter version) and level 20 Cstorm. When enemies start hitting back though, it becomes a bit of a problem.0

From my observation, a minor boosted character (small crystal) can put up a good fight against a nonboosted level 230 hero. A major boosted character (big crystal) is more than a match for a nonboosted level 230.
For example, level 85 Moonstone is minor boosted and has 6400 HP. Her Gravity Warp does 1500 damage, and Photon Blast is 290 * (red tiles + 2) so it usually ranges 3K. A level 230 Punisher has 9K HP and Retribution hits for 2800 and Molotov is 1000 to team. These stats are more than enough to hold the frontline while your combo guys get to work (at least, I hope you got some combos ready to deal with 3 level 230 guys).
On the other hand, a major boosted Magneto can pretty much eat level 230 guys alive. Yes he's overpowered in general but he's got 7200 HP at level 100 so he'll easily match the level 230 heroes in raw stats.
Now if your enemy is a level 230 major boosted character, good luck (though I don't think we've any such scenarios yet). Even level 230 minor boosted characters are very tough, especially if they're Daken.0 -
Unless you're getting easy mode levels in hard mode, the guest buff on this is only really helpful if you have the guest character in a decent state. Level doesn't matter hugely unless you're trying to overpower 230s fast, but covers do, far more so than on Loki. Anything at 1/5 on a low-level C.Mags, even buffed to effectively just over 100, is usually a waste of AP you could've spent on something helpful. He can still take a hit or two on his strong colors for someone else and overwrite IW's nuisance tiles if you really want to use him there, at least.
The scores are almost backwards on this sub. There isn't a mission there that can't force you to back out from a bad start if you don't just power through it with boosts, but I've probably retreated more times from no-points Maggia/Spy spam trying in vain to get 500 ISOs out than Devil "really dangerous on one color, otherwise harmless" Dinosaur.0
