Totally Awesome Hulk bug: blue ability not dealing damage

I tried out Totally Awesome Hulk loaner in the Amadeus' Inferno event.

Blue ability See the Math of It reads (for 4 blue cover loaner):
"Amadeus Cho runs through all the possible outcomes in his mind before SMASHING! Place a 2-turn Countdown tile. When it activates it creates 3 Blue Charged tiles and destroys 3 Green tiles, dealing damage and generating AP"

However the destroyed green tiles do not seem to do any damage as claimed. I tried multiple times and saw no damage (sometimes there was pink protect tiles out, but it didn't even show the reduced-to-minimum "-1" damage in those cases).

Ditto. I brought Daken hoping to use strike tiles to maximize tile destruction damage, and no damage was done at all.
