todays DDQ

How can you beat todays DDQ 4 wave node the big enchilada. I am having troubles with those ninjas that create attack tiles upon death.
Since wave 1 has three of those ninjas that that create 123 damage attack tiles. And there are 9 of them on the board at the end of wave 1. Then luke cage on wave 2 immediately puts down a 100+ defence tile ......
Normally i can beat this node with level 94 ares, storm and black widow. But now i have no chance. What characters are good here ?
These are the heroes i have: http://mpq.gamependium.com/rosters/Frasaria/

i used my old trusty thormneto (all 2* thor/mnmags/storm). they have enough board shake with thor yellow, mnmags red, and storm green that the attacks get taken out before they really hurt you too much. if you end wave 1 with an ability (i.e. either red or thor yellow usually) and have some blue/purple saved you can stun cage before he drops the protect. usually i have enough to stun torch too (for today's).

for wave 1 i usually kill them 1 at a time, then try and deal with the attacks as you work on the next one. if you wait and kill all back to back, the attacks all hit the board at the same time and are harder to deal with unless you have 25-30 green and 14 red saved. that will take a bunch out but mag's red shouldn't be played if there's a matchable red on the board.

If you have someone who can stun, you stun before you KO them.

If you don't have that option, do you have someone who makes attack tiles? If a T-ninja is KO'd by damage from attack tiles, they will not create counter-tiles.

Other options: Daredevil's Radar sense. Moonstone's Control Shift. Doc Ock... there are means.

    Hope this helps you.

Good advice above, but...did nobody look at the roster link?

For your roster, keep Black Widow and Classic Storm. (I see you have both Storms at 94, but you really want to be using Classic.) For the 3rd spot, use Thor or Ms. Marvel. Both of them have good board shakeup with their yellow. (If you have the covers for it, I'd recommend switching Ms. Marvel to a 3/5/5 build. This gives you maximum board shakeup with her yellow.) Storm has another good board shakeup with her green.

Though there's no way to tell in game, placement of your heroes matters. Assuming equal color damage, tanking order goes center-left-right. Storm and Widow have equal damage on blue, so you want Storm over on the right so Widow can use Espionage, Widow on the left, and Thor or Ms. Marvel in the middle. (You can also put Widow in the center for Espionage on black, but if you're expecting to take a decent amount of damage, it's safer to have Ms. Marvel tank black.)

During goon nodes, you want to go as slowly as possible, killing the goons with match damage. Only use powers when absolutely necessary. This is so you can unload your AP on the character waves (2 and 4). If you can't get rid of the attack tiles through matching, use your board shakeups.

Make sure to kill the last goon with one of your weaker powers. This is so you get first dibs on the next wave. So, for example, you kill the last ninja with Thor or Ms. Marvel's red. The next wave pops up, but you still get to go first. At this point, you should have saved up enough AP to fire off at least one Wind Storm. Stun Luke Cage so he can't drop his protect tile, then unload everything you have. Prioritize dropping Luke so he's dead before the stun wears off. Ms. Marvel can still take out protect tiles with her red, but Thor does more damage. I've used both options successfully.

Then you just rinse & repeat for waves 3 and 4. Good luck!

Yup, Biryon has you covered. Just follow everything he/she said. 2Thor, OBW & Cstorm was my team for the BE for a long time until I got 3*s that could take over.

Only thing I'd note is that you can't always go as slow in the ninja goon rounds as you would normally be able to in other goon rounds. Their attacks come too fast and are too deadly. It's a balance. Try to save blue for Cstorm, but in an emergency, use OBW's blue to extend countdowns.

I apologize, I straight ignored the roster link. At work I tend not to click on any links. trap.png

ditto for me. I know others use marvel with success but I'm a fan of thor feeding storm green. not sure how it works with obw but with mags, but I never use thor green until the last wave. always use green for storm and if you can, wait until you get 25+ ap, that dumps 25+ random ap in your lap that you can use to keep the chain going. I rarely wipe with thormneto, although I did today (can still count my BE wipes on 1 hand with them - been months since my last wipe).
  • Personally I rolled through with obw ares and black panther. Use obw to keep CDs from going off. Bp's yellow to make everything hit harder. Ares green to one shot the toughest on the second round. By the time the third rolls around I have enough blues to keep the countdowns. In an emergency I will use the blues for a quick heal if I couldn't take out all the attack ties. Final round unleash bp's blacks and ares red to wipeout the boss team before then even get an attack.
