Would changing PVP to a 3* or 4* team up improve the game?

Right now, those of us who have all the 3*'s and are currently working to get their 4* roster to a usable state have a long list of 4*'s who never see action, even at level 150-200.

In addition, those with a usable 4* roster are hindered in every pvp by being forced to use a 3*. The only people who ever are able to play a full 4* team in PVP are those that whale and purchase the new 4* before its one and only PVP.

If each PVP gave the player a choice of two super-boosted team up characters, a specific 3* (as currently) or a specific 4* (e.g. the character that is the 1k prog reward), would that improve the game?

I think it would allow the 4* transition to be more gradual, with the ability to actually use 4*'s before they are fully covered/leveled, and it would allow for much more 4* synergy in the top ranks.

Thoughts?

If you do that, I would suggest making them two different slices/brackets/events. Otherwise, you have the vets stomping the newer players that much more potentially.

No, I wasn't suggesting separate events. I think they should be the same event, just you get to choose if you want to use your 4* or your 3* (or use the loaner 3* if you have neither one).

Yes, it would mean that the top tier would be more powerful, but it would mean they climb higher much faster and earlier, so they are no longer hitting the 3* or transitioning 4* players in the last hours.

It would provide that much needed stepping stone where a player with an underdeveloped 4* team can be ahead of a pure 3* team before they have a full 4* character.

As it stands right now, players like me with all 3*'s fully covered, and 10+ 4*'s in the 150 -180 range are on the exact same level as a player with a handful of maxed 3*'s. The 4*'s mean absolutely nothing in pvp until they are almost fully developed.

It would provide the same shakeup (for the better) that we saw when they introduced weekly boosted characters. Before that, there was never a reason to run a character unless they were one of your best characters, but with the weekly boosting, even an underleveled lower class character can be useful when they are boosted.

Having a super-boosted 4* in each tourney would mean that periodically these underleveled 4*'s are at the top of your list of good characters for that tourney.

for those of us with a usable 4* roster, it is actually more of a hindrance facing 5*'s that we can't seem to get... once you are not relying on them exclusively, the 3* tier is essentially relegated to support characters... and many of them are great supports (and pretty damaging when boosted)...

This happens now. The true top tier is in the 1000-1300 range within hours of the event start. They're on their way hopping to 2k before most 3* players even start the event.

And there's nothing from stopping those top tier players who climb late now to climb late then, and still piggy back on whoever is in their way.

If you're suggesting that 3* selections are bracketed separately than 4* selections, then goodbye 1300 for most 3* players, because most points now are generated by your 4* players (and 5*s now)

The mechanics of PvP right now aren't a problem, the reward structure is. Which is still better than PvE, where both are a problem.
