Great life play. If ever you dust off the app. The game will still be here. Enjoy your days to come.0

Is the killer here. I can't even imagine doing this event in, event out, for weeks, let alone years.
Good luck to you.
This. PVE is the harder pvp event really because it requires a lot of scheduling and grinding for relatively meager gains. You can score like a top 1000 player in the world and still miss out on most of the rewards just because you ended up in the wrong bracket. If nodes gave a set amount of points instead of refreshing on a schedule, you could decide when and how much to play. And if rewards were progression based you'd know what you'd need to do to reach the rewards you want instead of trying to play 100% perfect and miss out because you only made it 99.88 %.
Best of Luck Mr Punisher. Enjoy your time with the wife.0 -

I am responding directly to this because I do not want players thinking negatively of my alliance. Yes its a T50 PVE alliance but the Commander (only one!) is very fair. The minimum to stay in the alliance is only reaching the 3* cover and reaching the Legendary during a 4* release (which was my idea). There are no PVP minimums. Stampcollector was actually the reason I delayed my departure a long time ago and continued playing. I was already reaching the 3* cover and beyond in my previous Casual Alliance that I created, CasualPunisher, but I wanted to actually win rewards during Galactus and joined this one. I ultimately stayed because it's such a great group of players and there's not much stress maintaining Alliance goals that I was already hitting.
PVE only became stressful when Legendaries were released because it forced players to keep playing, you have to start at the beginning of the event, hit every clear and grind at the end. Eventually it gets boring and stressful when facing buffed Ares and Juggs all day. Adding Command Points made it even more stressful. I don't need to get into the specifics because we all know what the stress in PVE is like nowadays, but I wanted to make clear that the Stampcollector Alliance is not the "killer".0 -
I tried so hard avoiding the forums yesterday.. especially when I am so use to checking the forums every hour to see if the devs made an update or responded to someone's post. However, I am glad I did log on today because I am quite happy to see such positivity and kind words on my post. Normally there are a few players that bash a post or extremely negative but everyone here has responded with their understanding and wishes. So thank you everyone, I really appreciate this, it let's me know that I am making the right decision and I'm not just being a "crybaby". I hope the post made some players realize they need a break or quit the game because MPQ really is an addiction. No game will ever make you set your alarm for 3AM just to play/grind and that is the truth.
It's funny that yesterday I had 8hrs of sleep for the first time in a long time. I felt so productive too! I returned to the gym, I cooked dinner, I cleaned and organized the house. My wife didn't know who I was lol. She asked "How are you find time to do all of this today?" I felt embarrassed to respond that it is because I quit playing MPQ (then I'll never be allowed to play videogames again! haha), so I simply told her I feel very motivated today. It's crazy when you think about how much time you actually dedicate yourself to this game, 4-5 hrs a day is a lot to ask for.
As far as the devs reading this and actually doing something about it. It won't happen, I have only seen IceIX respond to one retirement post a long time ago and that's fine. This post wasn't for the devs to read and respond. This post was made to give me some closure. I don't expect the devs to ever make the changes we want them to make, it's only going to continue to become more time consuming as the add more things to the game. For those who do not know, I work in Human Resources for a healthcare company, I sit in meetings where the CEO is showing us profits are down from the previous year and says "Revenue is down because less people are sick, how can we get more sick people?" This is not a joke, this is what businesses are thinking, so I can only imagine what goes on during the Dev Business Meetings.
Anyways, I just want to thank everyone again for the farewell. I did not realize how many players did enjoy my posts whether they were serious, funny, or just plain stupid!
I posted below some of my favorite posts on the forums:

Just publish that comment, (s)he'll get plenty of sick people. I'm going to pretend that (s)he meant "how can we get more people that are already sick to come to our company," to make me feel better.0 -

Was more referencing the time suck requirements that go along with being top 50 in PvE, which is a game problem, not a you guys/gals problem.
Didn't mean to imply your particular alliance was a problem. Sorry.0
