Increasing ISO costs

My X force wolverine has been at level 200 for a few months now. I received a yellow cover to make him 4, 3, 5 a few weeks ago and could max him at level 236.

The cost to take him to max level (236) keeps increasing. When I got the last yellow I made a mental note that I needed about 98,000 ISO if memory serves me. A few days ago I found it strange that i needed 105,000 to get to the same level. And now today i need 111, 967 ISO to get from 200 to 236.

What's up with that?

    The "max" button doesn't show you the cost to cap the character, at least not all the time. It shows the cost to get that character to the highest level they can reach with the ISO you have on hand, plus a $100 purchase. So as you accumulate ISO reserves, the number on that button keeps going up.
