That, ladies and gentlemen, is a 5/5/5 build..... sneaky devs! At least follow your own rules when throwing enemies at us, please. I dont mind that their level can increase, but come on, HAL! This is just taking it a tad too far. Anyone else notice broken builds like this in the current PvE?

EDIT: Correction on build. originally stated 5/4/5.

On that note I insist, nay, DEMAND you let me play as Devil Dinosaur! I won't stand for this! icon_razz.gif
  • Don't all enemies that you face who go beyond their level limit have 5/5/5? That's what I have always seen from long ago.

If that's true, I'm just now learning of it. At least them being limited to a 13 cover cap makes some sense, in the fact that at 200+ above, having all max covers gives a pretty large (sometimes quantifiable advantage) when just level alone makes up for a good challenge.

On a side note, I don't think this is true for all enemies, as Moonstone in the hulk even had at most only 3 covers. (She didn't move some of my special tiles because they were outside color limit.)

EDIT: Actually, looking at both his teammates, GSBW (144) and Moonstone(144) for that node are also 5/5/5, although Moonstone is bit harder to judge with red only affecting damage. But, in theory, following in line with the other two, its safe to assume she also touts a full build.
  • If I'm not mistaken Daken regenerates hit points even if there are less yellows on the board than necessary for the skill. In The Simulator. I might be wrong, but I'm kinda sure he did.
  • Has anyone played the final boss battle in. Diablo 3? Same exact thing happens when you enter Diablo's "Realm ofTerror! You face shadow versions of yourself but they have no ability cooldowns so they are whipping out their bankai every 5 seconds whereas you have to wait 120 seconds before using yours again. Lol. The AI needs all the advantages they can get when facing off against me icon_twisted.gif

I believe there are players who have 5/5/5 characters due to rounding when we went from 20+ covers per colour to 5. The AI had these characters back then too.

I came in to see if there the devs sneaked in a FFVII character as easter egg...
  • Yea, all of the enemy's are like this. It would be too easy if cpu venom never got above level 40, but its insane when you find level 200 three stars. And I second the guy who wanted to play as devil dinosaur. That one level in the hulk event was not enough!!!

Yep, I have a 5/5/4 IM35. I wonder if the respec option is going to bump that down.

As for the original post, if the characters are already going over their max level then why wouldn't the 13 cover limit also be bendable. I just assumed they were doing this.

Actually, that would be kinda neat in this game. "After x damage is taken, do y" Like an Alpha Strike/Limit Break thing.
  • I was thinking this would kind of be a cool thing for the ability of a character. Maybe someone like Apocolypse.

This character would not use AP, but would build a special (limit break) meter based on how many "abilities" were used, not AP.

So say the meter needs 3 purple, green, red, and blue abilities used and then it activates. Which then would be some super powerful move. Its somewhat like Venom's eat ability in the fact that you have to have used other abilities to generate the web tiles.
Just an idea. Yes its a ton of AP to grind thru, but it would reward you for blowing thru abilities and not just saving up AP for consecutive moves.
  • Hmmmm.....

    Maybe like:

    Morph (X-Men)
    3*
Health: Low Medium - Medium/ Tiles: Red, Blue, Yellow

    Red: Transform 9 ap

Morph generates an attack tile on a random tile.

    Blue: Copycat 8 ap

Morph copies the targets second ability and uses it against the target.

    Yellow: Morph 5 ap

Morph does what he does best! Only gains 1 ap each time a team mates ability is used. When at full, the next ability cast is twice as effective, and restarts the charge.

Maybe not exactly what we're talking about, but a similar mechanic.
  • Boy, my wife would LOVE to play with Devil Dinosaur. She said so just this morning.
