Please, explain me how is that possible? I am 63rd and 169th in The Simulator and The Simulator Hard Mode respectively. So, i can count that maximum 62+168=230 guys should be higher than me in Simulator Bacics. (Not mention that probably most of top ranked persons are top ranked in both sims). But i am only 460th in there. Who are these 230 surplus persons?

Let's check it.

Top guy has 8477 points in Classic mode.

Top guy has 23284 points in Hard Mode.

And finally Top guy in Basics has 42441 points. How did he do that? Let's imagine all three are the one person. 8477+23284=31761 points. That's the maximum of points he can get in all modes. So where did he get these surplus 11k points?

Sorry for bad English and probably bad maths. I'm a philologist icon_e_wink.gif

  • Main pool is 1k people. Sub are 200 each

And there are far more than 40k pts IF you can clean out all the nodes. Most people get screwed with 230s in heroic and 150ish in normal though

Events and sub events are 'bracketed'. What that means is that when you start one, you are put in a pool or bracket with a group of other players. You can see the bracket sizes in this event by looking at the list of events and seeing players 200 or players 1001 on the particular event.

Players only compete with other players inside their bracket for that event when it comes to placings. In PvP you will fight players in any bracket, but your rewards are only based on your final points tally compared to your bracket.

So NinjaVanish, who is top in your Simulator Basics bracket probably isn't in either of the other brackets you are in. Given that basics has 1000 players and the subs only have 200 players, the odds weren't good in any case.
  • Thanks for answers, guys. I guess now i understand all these numbers better. I just thought these 'players:200', 'players:1000' are simply a bug icon_e_smile.gif

How are "brackets" formed? I understand that it's the time you start playing in PvE, but is that MMR in PvP?

The brackets are formed on a first come first served basis. The people who you're matched up with is based on your MMR which is persistent across PvP events.
