hello,

i have two questions,
I dont play much pvp but when i noticed that in this event all your characters became level 270 i wanted to give it a try. But then i noticed that the pvp was almost over already, only 2 and a half hours left when i joined. At first i thought this was a big disadvantage, but then i noticed there were less than 1000 players in the slice, so it was much easier to get a higher ranking. In the end i became #37 with only 228 points. So i was wondering, is this just lucky once? or can this be used more often on purpose, to not join the event at all until 2 hours before it ends?

And the other question, with 2 minutes left i started a battle, but i finished it after the event did end. Did those points still count?

This is called Bracket sniping (not to be confused with sniping on shield hops). It is a strategy lots of people use but is very luck based. You got lucky here but more often than not you'll be #463 in a bracket. Try it a few times and see how it works for you.

No, they do not. Only fights that end while the event is in progress count towards your event score (and season score if it is a season event).

That can work to your advantage, too. If you're playing a match at the very end of the event and know you'll lose, you can wait until the event finishes to retreat so you don't lose points.
