Lets get an early jump to Thanksgiving and go around the table and say what we are thankful for.

Thank you for commandpointsbig.png
Thank you for launching the Gauntlet again, may it have an obtainable 4* at the end.

Thanks for having a low FBQ (feel bad quotient) for a free-to-play game. I've played a lot of mobile games, and the f2p ones have all been a lot harsher about blocking your progress unless you pony up. I'm on day 376, play every event, and have enjoyed hundreds of hours of entertainment from MPQ.

If you manage your expectations, it's a very nice game that allows constant progress for a casual f2p player. I've had times when I wanted to put my main account on ice and just fool around on my alt.

It actually does reward building up a deep, deep roster, but not in the sense that you win everything! (That's Line with the "I WIN" button, thank you.) I have tremendous fun taking all my "useless", "weak", "garbage-tier" characters out for walkies and killing things with them.
  • Thank you for making a game that keeps me coming back for more. I'm on day 610, and I keep working as hard as I can so I can build my roster. I have 52 characters, most of which are 3-5 stars. And I can honestly say this is the most rewarding game I have ever played and never spent a dime on. Evenghough it has been broken at times, I have given the time to keep coming back and playing again. Thank you D3.

Thank you for 444 days of fun playing your game & also listening to your players.

Nothing is ever perfect & you can't please everyone all the time & some mistakes will be made but your willingness to improve & keep the game evolving towards a better tomorrow has been much appreciated at many different moments throughout my MPQ playing time.

I hope for the same to carry on forward.

Basically, a big thank you for the good hours of entertainment I've had so far.

P.S. Also, thank you for getting Carnage in the game! icon_mrgreen.gif

Thanks for the RNG saving me 5000HP. Pulled 2 Jean's from Legendaries yesterday, and was gearing up to whale her after Christmas.

Thanks for deciding to make shields free from now on...

(figured I'd offer thanks preemptively and maybe shame them into actually doing it)

    This made me laugh^^^

Thanks for responding to any of the questions I have posted, devs are a lot more active on forums than other games I have played.

Thanks for Thanksgiving, keeping part of the competition out during the first event in which I will attempt to get placement for rewards. Also, thanks for all the essentials of that event being ones I already have.

Thanks for Alliances. I like the game alone, but the people I play with keep me lovin' it.
  • Thanks for putting out a game that keeps me coming back and for being alliance based which helped me meet a lot of awesome people. And thanks for the gauntlet to relax while leading up to a new story event with a new toon reward that i have time to grind for . Happy thanksgiving d3 and the mpq community

Most thankful for alliances and collecting new characters (although I wouldn't mind a slow down), which is what keeps me playing the game, aside from being pot committed and liking match 3 games and Marvel characters. I play for my groups, like the coordinating I get to do and might eventually cover my 4*. Like that despite facing level 395 characters for the last 5 nodes (3 regular, 2 essentials), I was able to complete it and should get a decent break from PVE, while I play for my LT in Oscorp Heroic, and be well rested for a possible Top 2 finish in Hearts of Darkness, which I'm also thankful for (new PVE content).

Positivity would be more abundant on the forums, if we had things to be positive about. Since that might be out of your hands, dispelling negativity would be a nice alternative. If we could get updates or even acknowledgments that our suggestions / complaints are being heard / hopefully addressed, it might go a long ways towards generating positivity by dispelling negativity. Some might get tired of continually seeing "we hear you / it's being addressed / we have no update / it's been passed on" but it would speak volumes compared to the deafening silence we hear from D3 Go! (whose forums we are on) and Demiurge.

"Deafening silence," that's a pun right? Or is it a misnomer? Lukewin, keeping things positive with a little joke! icon_razz.gif

You hear from D3 Go! here in the forums on a regular basis. I can't speak for the Demiurge team. But, did you know they have a feedback email where players can contact the developers directly?: marvelpuzzlequest-feedback@demiurgestudios.com

    Thanks!

    Thanks!

It's an idiom. Also, our definition of regular might be different. Here's a little joke, if my definition of regular was the same as yours, the regularity of my bowel movements might be a cause for concern to a gastroenterologist. Thanks for the link to the Demiurge team. Thankful for that.

I believe it is. I get a quick count of over 50 comments from Ice and myself over the past 2 days. We post when we can and we are reading and discussing topics internally more often than that. There's always room for improvement though.

In the interest of not derailing this thread any further, I'll leave it at that. I need to run to the facilities to deal with my gastrointestinal issues...

Thanks for the interaction. It does seem to be feast or famine, in terms of responses. These past 2 days, it's been a feast. If you look back further, even within the past 2 months, the amount of posts per day grows smaller as the amount of days grows. The shrinkage is even more apparent if you count meaningful posts, but meaningful is also a subjective term. I'd also not include posts about MtGPQ and ATPQ, since those aren't relevant to the MPQ discussions.

To get this thread back on track, I'll post stuff I skipped over in my first post. I'm thankful that the game exists, and that it has for over 2 years, which I've gotten to play for 535 days. It has had its highs and lows, some very high highs and some very low lows, but thankful that there hasn't been enough straws to break the camel's back. There have been plenty of straws, and a lot of them are still there, but not enough to have me put the game down and walk away. I've only spent $20 on the game, and that was on the tail end of the 2nd anniversary, so I'm thankful to have gotten so much value out of so little money spent (time spent is a different story). Again, thankful for the amount of awesome people I've got to meet along the way, and although it doesn't invalidate that I'm crazy for spending this much time on a game, at least I know I'm not alone in being crazy.

Thanks for keeping the game going! I'm not crazy about some of the decisions made, and I gripe like everyone else, yet here we still are. I enjoy it!
  • I'm thankful I don't play competitive PVE so I get to avoid the grind every 8 hour thing
