Known Issue: Balance Of Power Event

Hi everyone,

The Balance of Power event is incoming just around the corner and we wanted to give you a heads-up about a known issue.

Currently Balance of Power does not take into account the recent addition of 5-Stars to the game. That means, while 1, 2, 3, and 4-Stars will all be equalized at level 270, 5-Stars will maintain their current levels. The issue was caught too late to switch the event out for another, and because the event will occur in the Versus off-season, it was determined that development time would remain focused on other priorities/fixes.

After this occurrence, the Balance of Power event will be properly re-tuned to take 5-Stars into account. Another upside is that the number of players that have developed 5-Star characters is still low (so most players seeing a 5-Star should largely be able to Headbutt Silver Surfer into oblivion anyway).

    So in future ones, will all characters be at 270 or at the 5 star max? Just curious.

    And I wonder why? Maybe because these events already have their placeholders and people at the back was too busy to notice that SS, OML and Phoenix are there

    At least this was brought up before the event starts otherwise you'll see a lot of posts about the issue with their 5 stars not being buffed

    May I humbly request for the name to be changed instead to "Balance of Juggernaut"? Makes the nature of the event more accurately reflected.

    I think you'll find the original Dev post says ALL tiers except 5* will be at 270 so there won't be a level 450 jugs.

    That's the current error. I believe the question remains for future runs of this event whether all star levels will be at 270 or 450.

    Ahh I see. Given that the level of all tiers this time is 270 I imagine that any 5*'s in future BOP events will be brought down to 270. Otherwise it would have made more sense to level everyone up to 450 this time.

    I guess I'm in the minority for actually liking the BoP event. It is a change of pace from the usual "featured character" plus whoever is boosted events and I actually like trying different combinations of characters. There is no way in heck I will reach even 1000 in the event but it is fun none the less.
