Best 2 star second member with Classic Storm

I have a 5/5/3 classic storm at lvl 61. Long term, who makes a better match with classic storm? I am thinking 2 star wolverine or 2 star Thor. I have both of them, but I am missing several covers for both. Which one should I invest ISO into more heavily? I am leaning towards Thor even though he is only 1/1/2 at the moment. For a third I usually have a mid leveled Venom or 1 star black widow, but after the avenger tournament I am leaning towards dark avenger widow for better color coverage. Any other delicious combinations out there that I have not mentioned?

Thor would be my choice.

He has great damage for low cost with his red and yellow abilities. Also Storm's Tempest will feed his red ability. Try to max out his red and yellow abilities, red for sure as it is one of the best damage to AP ratios in the game.

Marvel Now (2-star) Magneto is the obvious choice to feed her blue.

Have stopped playing her & Magnus to focus on Thor/Spidey/Grey Widow at the moment (will probably replace Thor with Ragnarok once I get some covers), but 2-star Magneto + 2-star Storm are a match made in heaven. Pumping out more & more blue to continuously damage the entire team is niiiiice.

For a third member, I agree on Thor or even Ragnarok to generate green for Storm's green skill. Thor might be a better all-rounder since he uses more colors.

With Thor/Storm/Magneto you have a good use for red, yellow, green, blue, *and* purple (with Ragnarok instead of Thor you have no way to use yellow).

I agree with Mags. Thor is good on practically any team IMO. Lightning rounds, 75% teams I see are x/Thor/Storm. I like Daken if you can manage to keep his green attack power higher than Storm's (despite having no green ability, green is his highest attack.) If you can keep his purple and black higher than Venom's too, he would make a great tank. Or just ditch Venom for Thor.

They're both great, there's isn't really a wrong choice.

Thor/Storm has great synergy, especially if you can throw an expendable team-mate (preferably a free one such as the Venom offered to you in the Venom versus) to the wolves in order to fuel a couple of Raging Tempest activations. He's also a good all-round heavy hitter.

however, Wolverine has one of the best strike powers in the game in Feral Strike. It's only 3AP when maxed, and generates huge advantage as well as directly damaging the opponent (which means that it benefits from previous Strike tiles that it's made.) He also tanks really well with his regen. I recommend maxing out his Green and Yellow covers.

One thing to consider is - where are you going to get your extra covers from? Wolverine can be got from the standard store, Thor can't but is a frequent drop from any heroic tokens that you win. They actually go well together - Thor's cheap red attack makes up for Wolverine's one weakness - so if you find yourself picking up both covers from random pulls then I'd recommend cultivating both.

When I was in 2* land my go to team was Thor/OBW/Storm. Even after I transitioned to 3*s and had many of them fully covered I still used that team for a very long time. It even works great in DDQ. (though you use OBWs blue in the wave nodes to extend countdowns instead of hitting with Storms blue)

But Magneto as a blue feeder for Storm oh hell yes.

Thor's yellow feeds her green, which is also quite nice, but her green doesn't stun. Her blue does, and that made her a super effective member of my Big Enchilada team before I progressed to a 3*+ BE team.

The great thing is that there's code/plugins for phpBB that can auto-lock threads that haven't been posted in for X days/weeks/months, but D3 just won't implement it. I remember someone even sent the details on how to do it to IceIX when he was the community manager and it still never got done. So there's an easy way to actually stop this from happening, and they have all the tools, but it just doesn't get done.
