My sacred spread sheet of "when the heck are you going to put in all those new 4* you don't have enough covers of to be usable" is suggesting that, to avoid overlaps of active colours, I use Professor X or Falcon and, wait for it, Quicksilver. Ah well, why not, at least at first.

Ooh, if I don't mind overlapping green, I could run Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. Which is very, very thematic, or was until recently.

Update: thematic, but as neither my Magneto or Quicksilver is maxed, they are useless against 166 and over. Time for Plan B.

Don't need the 1k reward, for the first time ever! So, going to see if i can do it shield-less..
  • would like to think a maxed Mags and Gamora might help me push for 1k but after the horrible scaling I got from my boosted Blade at the weekend I'm not too hopeful!

Was actually thinking of pushing for T100 myself, and then got a redflag.png from a miscellaneous token, putting him at 5/5/2! Almost done... icon_e_biggrin.gif

Pushing to 1000...have a target queued for 70 points while I'm sitting at 960. Hit it, win and come out to...+9.
The **** win gave me 9 **** points. This **** has to **** change, it's absolute garbage icon_evil.gif

This. Happens to me often. I think that while you play with "etiquette" and give this 70pt target time to hop and shield, others will whale on him right away, so by the time you get around to beating him, everyone's reduced his point total so low that you would have never queued him up from the start.

For a match to be worth 70 points at 960, the opponent needs to be over 1400. To be worth 9 at 960, the opponent needs to be less than 625. People that go above 1400 almost never end an event unshielded, and if that's what happened, I sympathize. I don't think that's what happened though.

I think it's much more likely that there's a severe misunderstanding of how point values are determined, and proper targets to choose. Point values shown are based on your score at the time, and the score of your target at the time they're added to your queue. If your score or that of your target changes significantly, the point value will too. When hopping, you want to queue targets that will shield to maintain their score. Moreover, you want to let them complete their hops, since their score will then be higher, and you will earn more points from defeating them.

I think that Demios12 probably queued a 70 point target that had no intention of shielding. Worse, Demios12 probably queued them while sub-550 points himself. It's hardly a surprise that 70 point queued saved from when your score was 400 points less isn't going to be worth that much.

    To review:
When seeking large point matches queue people that are shielding. Let them shield, and they will be worth more points. Do not expect a queue from when your score was significantly less to be worth the same value when your score increases.

When your points increase, the node values sink accordingly. Only the opponent's score changing changes the actual value of the node.

Come to think of it, you're right. Unless there's some exception that causes that to not happen, I'm all the more perplexed how someone could queue a 70 point match at 960 and have it be worth only 9. That's 1400 to 625. If it were only 1300, I could see someone hitting the Legendary Token progression then floating, but at 1400, it must be someone going for placement.
