Of course the one Mr Fantastic cover I have maxed already is the 1000 point progression. Oh well, I guess that leaves me free to mess around with fun teams. Doc Ock and Ant-man looks promising...

Too many good purple users amongst the boosted characters, can't decide who to take for this one. Might try Iron Fist + my under-covered Fury... Only lacks red but I'd want to leave that out for Blade's strike tiles anyway.

There's no boosted yellow among the three-stars, but there's Cyclops, Ant-man, Nick Fury and Marvel Now Thor for boosted yellow.
Not options for everyone, but they are boosted...

I think my lack of a good Iron Fist might be my downfall on this one, but I'll see how I get on with 166 Gamora and 142 Blade. Have GSBW at 130ish but I'm not sure how well she plays with these 2, might try 166 Cyclops instead for the red generation

unfortunately, I'm not part of the 1% that has a functional antman, although mine is 2/2/4, level 145, that's not enough for me to waver from fistbuster. looking forward to a week I can run something else. after a few weeks of it, I can see where it gets old. if only I could get a few more on jean, kp, or carnage, that'd be great. have 7 good enough 4* characters stuck at 7-8 covers (px, 4thor, antman, carnage, jean, kp, and xfw). if i could get one to 10 or 11, I'd level them.

Here is the thing.. Having 4 yellow on Ant-Man.. creates nice strikes, and unlike Blade's, they are guaranteed, not conditional when the timer is up.. so save the purple for Blade when ant-man makes his tiles, and enjoy the massive attack tiles! That 2 in blue will also steal enemy blade's strikes for you.

so, its not assumed that all purple will be used by boosted fist?

sure i might play with antman early and it'll probably be fun. just can't see him turning the tide against the top teams. and the next event spidey matches all antman's colors, so meh. he'll be playing in pve for me this week though. didn't use him in my first clear, but will make a point to get at least one in with him.

awesome. I've got a loaded blade with fully upgraded 3 star characters to compliment ready to go, until I get placed with people with better 4 and 5 star characters. Makes for a fun experience. Very engaging.

Honestly, you're not missing much here. I started out the PvP with him, and even boosted, he's usually way too slow to keep you from eating a lot of damage.

Ant-man and Blade is not the best combo, unfortunately. They compete for purple AP and both want to use the red tiles. Fortunately Nick Fury works too.

Really, really enjoyed this PvP, despite my $ilver $urfer-**** MMR. I had to skip 100s upon 100s of matches, which is the new normal for me since adding $$, but even facing 240s once I found them was not all that daunting after I let go of my initial anxiety. I had a few heroes who were boosted to the 180s, narrowing much of the gap as well.

I embarrassingly had no idea how fun IF could be, and this is the first time I've had the pleasure of running a decently covered Blade (I didn't see my first Blade cover until about 1-2 months ago, just shy of 2 years in).

I usually added either GSBW or 3adpool, depending on who was healthier, and strapped in for the ride!

Used blade/fist/xforce wolvie all the way thru; climbed to 1k and shielded; got knocked down somehow probably while I was climbing right before my last shield

Probably because I didn't have any of the powered up characters maxed out, but the slice I was in was brutal. Couldn't even get to 700, everytime I got above 600, I'd get hit for 80-160 by 3-4 people in the time it took me to finish a match. Crazy brutal for some 3* spidey covers

Yeah, that's kind of where the game is right now. People are competing to get to 1000 points. I've got every 3* maxed, no use for the placement rewards. But only 1 level 200 (Fury), so I still get crushed repeatedly around 800 points. Then all the matches I could choose from (skipping dozens of times) were like, 290 Blade 270 HB 270 Jean Grey. It's impossible to find someone worth fighting and every match eats up 2-3 heal packs.

So I guess I need to spend $100 to max my HB and then I'll be fine right

any time they want to ratchet up health pack sales, they need to run blade pvp during a 4* release pve. that was brutal. had to dip into tacos multiple times with a sub end grind and pvp push same night. did not buy any health packs with hp but used probably a dozen tacos. every blade pvp match was 2 health packs and getting to 1000 sucked.

This is why I chose slice 1 so my health packs could recharge in time for the PvE grind in slice 3...
