Having more than five health packs is suffering

Don't you hate it? You have 5, Patch has a blond moment and someone goes down, no problem! Use a health pack. It'll be back before you need another one, anyway. You have eight because the random daily or some PvE intro mission gave you three, noooo, can't use those, have to save them for a big push.

Probably I should just use them.

  • Just lose a battle and your problem is solved.
  • Took me a moment but, yeah, that'd work.

I've actually developed a habit of just retreating to Prologue heal if I know I'm going to lose. The game can still sneak up on you, obviously, but it's not as if I need to sit and watch to confirm what happens when 200% 141 IM40 gets his hands on 20 blue, any more than those 230 PvE supergoons.

I'm in the opposite school of thought personally. I tend to hoarde them. I will store them up and enter a tournament on the last day, make a massive push if I can, then shield. Tends to work very well.
  • Definitely start building a cache! I'm sitting on 50 right now. I only use them at the end of tournaments. I was in your position too and then I got a healer. Now I leave almost every match at or close to full health. A healing ability is a must if you want to play alot.
If you can afford to take a break and let your characters regen naturally, do it and save your health packs. Use your schedule to your advantage so they have down time. I play every night before bed and let them recharge. Incidentally I dream about the MPQ puzzle board almost every night, but that's another story.
  • Yeah, same problem here. icon_e_smile.gif

Would be so much better if the won packs were sitting in a separate pile, only used when the normal 5 is gone and it would keep filling to 5 + the extras...
  • Ok i seen a thread somewhere before about this and Veracity just mentioned it in a comment BUT is there a different way to heal besides in the Venom mission and which mission do you pick? how do you "higher level" guys do it as when i do it i cant keep venom alive long enough before i have a chance to heal?

The last venom mission is fine (spidey+obw+patient), 1 out of 3 times you can collect 9 blue and 9 yellow for 1200+700 heal. Another 1 of 3 can to one of those. But take some damage on route. Must look out for 750-ish devour be taken by spiderman. Leave the purples so venom creates webs for you and try to protect them.

With under-300 health the missions with 22 and 25 venom are advised for one run, take some low-level guy as third

    Much thanks icon_e_smile.gif
  • Assuming you have high level characters (including spiderman), the only other suggestion I would have is that you can try fighting Ragnarok in the last chapter of the prologue. He can't activate his abilities as much now that he's been nerfed (have OBW to steal AP if you're concerned). And finally his higher health pool means that even if you get a bad board you won't be in danger of accidentally killing him before gathering enough AP to heal up.

If you're really low on HP, play Runaway or Rocket Men in the Oscorp chapter (2 of the first 4 missions), with OBW. Unless you're terribly unlucky, you'll be able to safely heal with OBW (assuming you have level 5 blue) at least once before you kill everyone. Repeat if necessary and then head to Rag.

I play Rocket Men, used to play Swords to Plowshares, but they changed the team composition to include a lieutenant. I hate the NPC healers, TBH. I only have a 4 blue spidey, but it seems to not be a problem, as I kill off the soldiers in rocket men and the last one i just throw off all my blue stuns and then heal. Almost a non-issue as far as getting the required AP to stun and heal.
