Anyone ever been in a bracket with TaintedPork?

This guy sat in the top 10 of our MMR almost all day unshielded for the DD tourney without evidence of any hits or drops in rank. I check out his roster and for the most part, it was pretty lame. His best character was an upper-level Patch (maybe 90s IIRC). After that, he had pretty much nothing. A Wolverine in his 50s and an OBW that was 40.

Granted, he COULD have just been good with his Patch and protected his OBW well, but that's quite a stretch especially when taking into account the fact that he was the only unshielded guy in top 10 that wasn't backsliding due to hits.

Anyone play with this guy and seen the same?

Not Tainted Pork, but there are a few people that have garnered such luck. There seems to be one in every bracket that climbs unscathed.

Match making seems to match some people up with much weaker teams or something, so they can cruise to the top of the "ladder" and stay there unshielded the whole tournament & others get hit every 2 minutes while with similar points. Not their fault, but pretty lame of the devs giving such weak teams such an easy ride on the MMR lottery.

No but something similar happened in my bracket.

This guy ifc something was at number 8, unshielded and stayed there for about 6 hours, with 5 minutes left on the tourney he jumped to 2nd and that dropped me to 6th, I had to unshield with 1 minute left and got lucky not only to win my match but specially not to get attacked and finished 5th.

I don't get how can he be unshielded and don't get attacked for so long, during the same time i was shielded and got attacked 8 times.

I was in a tourney last week where I had 4 people ahead of me. I was at around 575 and they were with point totals ranging from 580-780. For the last hour of the tournament they were all unshielded and just sat there. Never moving up or moving down. It was bizarre.

They were all low-mid tiered players.

My bracket had one as well. Pushed all the way up to the 1100 point range and just sat there for the rest of the day unshielded. Eventually started getting hit but still never fell far enough to get out of 2nd place. Disgusting.

I had all the thundercats in mr bracket for DD. mumra was top 5 last I saw with a **** roster. But he wasn't the worst.

I got lucky with the daredevil tourney, I went untouched for almost the entire time, I actually had first in our bracket for the first day, instead of being smart and shielding cause I was over 650 points, I figured I could go for the progression rewards and kept losing after that I dropped to 16-45 rankings!
