They sell beers inside the center during NYCC. Not necessarily good beers or fair prices, but there are beers there.

Is it me or this event is extra hard to hit 1k? I assume maxed lcap and sw isn't really a good defensive team let alone any good as a deterrent. I'm constantly getting hit and yo yo-ing between 400-650. I have been hitting 1k every pvp event for a couple of weeks with my 16 maxed 3*.

I threw in the towel after switching to lcap and xfw (level 140) and spending heaps of tacos for health packs just to get above 800 (minimum for my alliance) and shielded till the end of the event. I did get a legendary token from my second taco but it was starlord.

This is a weird one. With just over 3 hours to go I was back below 600, and an hour later I'm over 1000 with no attacks at all. I don't want to push my luck, so I'll take my green cover and shield.

hit 1k this morning thanks to a bizarrely easy 72 point node to hop with, but my slice is the highest scoring I've ever seen, 1031 and I'm only just scraping the T100, is this a slice 3 thing? I'm usually slice 4 or 5 and 6-700ish is usually enough for T100

Had a brutal time in this as there was really no deterrant in 3* land and most are handicapped by Rulk, a lot of yoyoing but that meant the ISO is coming in.

In the last 10 hrs or so finally started to make some progress but once i hit 800 it was the usual 2 steps forward, 1 (big) step back. The points however did start to even out getting a lucky break to shield above 900. Then got very lucky thanks to LINE.

No forum members were harmed in this run i think and i saw a bunch of you in s3. But this is a really brutal slice with a lot of pts around and some very high scores.

S3 is where the players in the current top alliance for season XX tend to be so there are tons of points around to be had. How easy was your 72 point battle? Are we talking 166s or 150s or even lower. There are a couple different explanations for what you might be seeing. I had an S3 bracket recently where 1300 only got me around 65.

It was a 166/150 IF/Cstorm. Interesting to know that s3 is where the big boys play. I'm a 3* player so I'm not sure if a slice with lots of big points is better or worse for me. 1k is more important than placement as I aim to transition, but I do want that 10k season score. Should I avoid s3?

I had it all figured. #1 @1292pts and shielded, 5mins to the end. No shield hops left and next guy at 1140pts or so. Do I go for that legendary token? Why of course... what could go wrong?

Cut to the short version: I unshielded at 4mins, hit 20pts target and won him fast. Got the legendary token and nervously waited 2 minutes for hits to fall. In the end I got hit for 200pts worth. In a span of few minutes. In the end I dropped to 1100pts and lost #1 placement and that Kingpin cover. Legendary gave me Ant-Man . To be completely honest I'm not sure if it was worth it...

Oh well, I gambled with PvP and did not hit the jackpot. At least I got something out of it. And Grudgekeeper from porkchops crew will be pleasantly surprised with the #1.

If you want 1k and don't care about placement you absolutely want to be where the big points are, so s3 is a really good bet.

Yes, most likely the guy put in an easy team for his last hop (sometimes people can find seed teams again at very high scores) and then shielded after 1 match to allow his friends/team mates an easy queue.

It all depends really - I was scoring 1k consistently last season in S4, but that was often barely enough to scrape top100 - though I may just be in MMR hell in terms of brackets, I don't know. I don't think changing to a more point starved shard is really the way to go. If you want the 10k season score, it's definitely worth going to S3 or any of the other point heavy shards. It's much easier to get 1k there, and sometimes you'll manage to do it without needing to beat any 4* teams on the way there!
