How do I deflate MMR?

I'm not convinced it's an effective strategy but the surest way to do this would be to go Lightning Round, beat as many seed teams as possible except the last one, and then switch to something weak (but still strong enough to beat the seed team) and that should put your weak team in front and hopefully get as many people to attack you as possible.
You can do this for other PvP tournament but catching the seed teams is considerably harder there.0 -
It works, at present. I haven't seen many of the top names in my MMR for weeks.0

So let me get this straight... MMR is influenced by
1. Your win to loss ratio when playing.
2. Your win to loss ratio when being attacked by other players
And PVE doesn't have any affect... is that right?0 -

That seems to be correct, yes, though I don't think it was ever acknowledged officially.0 -
Can someone explain the Seed teams? Are they not actually real players teams? I was wondering why i was always beating the pants of hipdudeglasses every time and his roster was was never available.0

Yeah they're bots, which is why their teams are always the same (minus the required character). They're present early in a tournament when not enough players has entered for the system to figure out who you should be matched up against. They're available in all tournaments but only until enough players have entered to properly enforce matchmaking.0 -
I thought there was some cheating going at first. Someone running bots some how to intentionally pump points into the system for everyone. I guess ill be happy the Devs are doing it for us on their own. lols0
