Any reason to keep my 3's at level 153?

I have a couple 3's that I can max to level 166. Any reason to keep them at 153? I thought by maxing the character I would be in a higher pvp/pve bracket.

Also random, I thought I read somewhere that you can choose your pvp defense team? Is that true? Thanks everyone!!

    The best reason would be that it saves you some ISO, and it doesn't improve your characters that much. But people are more likely to hit you in PvP for psychological reasons.

    Your def team is the last team you won with.
