I feel like one word descriptions don't give enough information so I'll elaborate.
1) Galactus' scaling was off-kilter.
2) Node scaling was over the top given that they were supposed to offer little threat (IceIX said so in his response post many have seen by now).
3) The rewards weren't appropriate for effort imputed.
4) Reward goals were set too high (a player that usually gets Legendary Tokens from PvEs should have an easier time during the anniversary, not way harder.)
5) 900,000 Human Torch reward is a joke given you needed a very well filled out roster to get that much damage on him.
6) Those that didn't have above average rosters (fairly developed 3*s) could do almost literally nothing to Galactus.
7) Encouraging and promoting that you were supposed to lose the event while requiring them to win (by a rather absurd margin).

And there were more things wrong with Galactus overall but these cover most of the unbalanced nature of the event.
