Dont know if this has been done but i was wondering what's your favorite character look in the game from d3 and what is your favorite cover in the game from marvel.

My top 5 favorite character looks in order:

1. Punisher, love the guns and stuff.
2. Daredevil, no explanation needed.
3. Wolverine patch, the suit.
4.Storm classic, she looks like a god.
5. Moonstone

*Black widow modern looks good and ares is designed well too.

Favorite cover art from marvel:

Invisible woman and Ares. The bullets coming at bag lady are amazing!

Keep up the good work devs.

Daredevil & Dr Doom are both stunners for their depiction in the game.

For covers, The Hood is probably my favorite.

I can't respect patch's art as long as his green attack sounds like a man who has ruptured his hernia by standing up too quickly.
  • Characters:

    1) Bullseye, just like the detailed costime
    2) Marvel Now Magneto, maybe because I've never seen this costume before so it's new and exciting to me
    3) Iron Man Model 40

    Covers:

    1) Classic Spiderman, nice, simple and iconic
    2) X-Force Wolverine
    3) Invisible Woman
    4) Daken
    5) Moonstone, completely fits the characters personality

    Character: invisible woman

    j/k
  • Hulks hair is amazing.

I wish I could get the "chocolate shell on top of my head" look.

And everything Black Widow is awesome, especially 1* BW.
  • On a related note, I’m really perplexed as to why they chose some of the covers they did… it’s almost like they intentionally sought out the oddest covers available, like Astonishing Wolverine, Rag, or Cap. Not sure they can’t keep a consistent representation that matches the art direction that’s in the game.

And it’s not like those are the first appearances of that version of the character, so I really don’t get it.

Iconic, striking, and identifiable are big (but not the only) tenets for our cover choices. Cap's may be a bit odd if you're looking for an action shot, but it really represents his character. One of the other things that's a limiting factor is that we beed to find covers with titles that don't confuse the issue. Our old Black Widow (Grey Suit) was a decent cover for art and all but had a nice big Captain America title that was the first portion of art the eye focused on. Really confusing.
  • As far as cover art goes my 3 favorites would probably be
    S&V Wolvie
    Magneto C
    Ares

    In that order.

Ah,please don't change it again! UXM 268 is one of my all-time faves. Actually did a rendition of that for my art class in high school

    What does S&V stand for?

As for me, I like the cover art for mHawkeye, Daredevil, Loki (a silhouette on white, looks good), mBW, mStorm, Thor.
The Hood takes the cake though.

While we are at it, Yelena's cover is one of the worst. She looks like a 3rd grade pornstar there, and it's not just my opinion. Please do something for the character, even the covers aren't aesthetically pleasing. IW's cover is okay, but the in-game art...

    In game look

    - Classic Storm (its the one I grew up with, always liked it, faithful recreation).
    - The Punisher (its all about his Red ability animation).
    - Iron Man Model 40 (Tony is one of my favorite characters, animated very well).
    - Marvel Now Magneto (looks exactly like he does in the comics).
    - Spider-man (Another awesome shot for his blue ability).

    Marvel covers

    - Magneto Classic (that iconic Jim Lee cover).
    - The Hood (I believe their is a better one but its still pretty good).
    - Daredevil (excellent action shot)
    - Spider-Man (it just screams Spidey)
    - Astonishing Wolverine (I like Jae Lee's style).

Least favorite cover is The Punisher. Love Opena but their is much better covers to choose from around the Dark Reign era.

Was just thinking about this, thus the revive. I'll just do covers, and 12 of them, in descending order:

    12. 3* Wolverine
I'm usually not fond of the '80s Kirby-style artists (yikes, blasphemy, I admit), but Buscema's composition is bold and stark, appropriately heavy and ugly.

    11. Invisible Woman
Great (if obvious) use of negative space! The flatness is actually quite cool, too.

    10. 1* Spider-Man
    Classic Ditko!

    9. Kamala
I love the brightness, esp. the focus on just ~3 primary colors that pop.

    8. 2* Hawkeye
I really like David Aja (he and, at least the last I remembered, Michael Lark are two guys who carried on David Mazzucchelli's superhero style -- unimpeachable IMO), and this might be higher if I wasn't inundated with pulling his covers. (I guess I could say the same thing about 2* Wolverine, I like Jae Lee's Sienkiewicz-meets-Mignola schtick but I'm so tired of pulling those covers.)

    7. 3* Magneto
I find I'm not much of a Jim Lee fan, especially of his older stuff that has a kind of spontaneous dashed-off quality suffused with the (regrettable) early '90s aesthetic (e.g. his Beast cover, 4* Cyclops). But here his Mags is powerfully drafted, and the care of the composition crackles with energy. What's more, the initial crop of covers (the 1*s, in particular, all the Greg Land art) have this generic gloss that makes them feel anonymous to me, but then BOOM! The grit of Magneto here is refreshingly nasty.

    6. Squirrel Girl
Love the sweetness and happiness. Colors are wonderful (has that hand-drawn 2000s Disneyesque animated cel quality), and SG looks like she's having so much blissful fun that I leveled her to 100 (well, I also think she's an underrated 3*).

    5. 4* Deadpool
Movement and color! Slightly expressionistic (maybe the wrong word), too.

    4. Iron Fist
David Aja again! I love how he's influenced by '70s movie posters, and considering that IIF was like a '70s martial arts exploitation film brought into the present makes it entirely appropriate.

    2. 3* Cyclops
Bachalo sometimes veers into this grossly exaggerated cartoonish style, but this shows how imaginative he can be. The graphicness is arresting, as well.

    2. Elektra
    More expressionism! Action painting! Awesome!

    1. 4* Thor
    Eerie, mysterious, beautiful.
