Using Gift Cards Cross Platform - A Guide.

After successfully puchasing some HP on MPQ for my Android device using an iTunes gift card thought a step-by-step run through of the process would help some of you wanting to do the same. I'm confident that this process would work either way round, just switch out Andriod for Apple and vice versa.

Step 1
Link MPQ to your Facebook account in game, using the settings option in the top left of the screen. A link to Facebook is required to backup / restore your game.

Step 2
Make sure that you have completely closed the game on your Andriod device. To be sure I turned my phone off but this may not be essential.

Step 3
Sign into Facebook on the apple device. If your using a friends device its more than likley that they are already signed in so do this step now to save confusion down the line.

Step 4
Add the iTunes card to the signed in Apple ID, or if you have one sign in with your own ID. Its easier adding the credit now than once your in game as if there is insufficient credit on the account it looks for credit card info to charge the purchase against.

Step 5
Install and open MPQ. If someone has let you use their device odds are the game isn't installed as they wouldn't risk data loss if they played. Pretty sure that if they do this process would still work as they could log into Facebook and backup to get their game back once you've done. Don't take my word for this though as I didn't have this issue.

Step 6
Play the starting prologue through. You have to do this you cannot get to the options menu until you have. I would note though that once you get to the first actual prologue mission (after the starting ones) after pressing fight you can just press back.

Step 7
Do this step before purchasing the HP, otherwise you will add the HP to the new account and then lose it when you load your actual game state.
Open options in the top left of the screen and select "Back up to Facebook". The wording of this step in game is very unclear, it reads like you are going to override your current game. After selecting the option however it notifies you of a conflict and asks if you want to load your current game state. Select "Load".

Step 8
Make sure that the game has loaded correctly, check your roster of something to make sure its your game. If it isn't your game something went wrong so try the backup step again.

Step 9
Purchase your HP.

Step 10
Play a match on the Apple device. This will force a save on the server end of your current game state with the added credit.

Step 11
Completely sign out of the game on the Apple device. As with step 1 I turned the device off just to be sure. Don't think this is essential, but better to be safe than sorry.

Step 12
Load up your Andriod device and open MPQ. The new credit should now show.

Step 13
Now this is the most important step of all if you borrowed your friend Apple device. Turn the device back on and sign out of Facebook, otherwise before you know it your going to have a status update along the lines of "Just got back from the Dr's, they confirmed its definitely crabs".

That's it, good look to anyone looking to do the same.

Im currently looking at going from iOS to Android and was hoping this would help me, but its just not clear enough. In particular, steps 5 and 6 seem convoluted and vague (strange combination to me).

Is there a better guide for switching from one OS to the other? Or can someone give me a clear step by step here?

If you follow the steps closely, the game will restore your save file on the new device and you won't lose any progress.

Yeah, apologies I missed out the Facebook link. I have updated the OP to include this step.

The taco packs cost less but do you get the legendary tokens?
