To avoid a repeat of the Lollipop disaster of November 2014, do we have confirmation from the developers whether it is safe to upgrade to Android Marshmallow (6.0)?

I do not work for D3. But I lived through the Lollipop disaster, and still went for it anyway. My Nexus 7 (2013) is now running Android 6.0 and MPQ works fine so far.0
