Season XIX: Did you meet your goals?

As another season leaves us and the anniversary comes up on us, I ask you community... Did you meet your goals?

I personally made a list when I first finished my 2* roster of what I wanted to achieve over the next year, and while some are done others are a bit further away.
What about you all? Do you have a list? Do you have goals? If you had them, did you reach them this season? Any new goals?

Achieved:

- Get top 100 in a PvP season (I hope)
- Maintain 1st place for at least 1 day (I held it for about 3 days)
- Get a character to 166 (Thor first, and now Doc Oct)
- Reach the Heroic 10-pack (I got it about 4 days in)
- Get within 1 tier of the maximum season reward
- Reach 800 points in a PvP

Not quite:

- Get top 50 in a PvP Season
- Get top 25 in a PvP Season
- Get a team to 166
- Reach the maximum tier for season rewards
- Reach 1000 points in a PvP
- Reach 1300 points in a PvP
- Get a Legendary Token
- Get a character to 270
- Get a team to 270

What about you guys? Share your success, your near-wins, your failures.

Honestly not sure how you did so well on the PVP side, I only hit the heroic 10 pack on this last event. I have now three 3* at 166, and I struggle to get past 600 points each pvp. Once I do, all my opponents are 240-270.

It's particularly frustrating, as I routinely hit 800 points when all I had was 2*. The scaling to tougher opponents has really wrecked me more than I expected.

Even this last pvp, by the time I got to 300 points, all my opponents were maxed Hulkbusters/X-Wolverines/Nick Furys.

Have I done something drastically wrong? Finishing in something like place 1450 this season.

TL;DR - didn't hit any goals, got wrecked in pvp difficulty

i got the 10 pack - so, yes, met my goal.
it contained a black panther yellow, which was my first cover, which is nice

dont know if i play pvp the next season. i got top100 in a pvp event twice, got a she-hulk and a doc ock cover. but not being able to crack that 800 points cover reward, no matter how hard i try is frustrating as hell.
looking at the scoreboards and realizing that every single one of the top10 has every single 3*s and most of the 4*s fully covered and maxed doesnt help. that guys are selling every 3*s reward anyway on their way to that leg token that gets them either a surfer or 1000 iso.

Got my goal of hitting all 800's and all progression awards, finished with 7000 after letting myself freefall for the last 2 days, but very happy to pick up Jean Grey and another Legendary

I thought I would hit my first 1000 this month, but could not really get close with some poor boosted characters on half the events. Probably could have made it on She Hulk but called it a day early. Did hit my PB of 930 on the Mystique event, so I'm confident those 1k's will start appearing next season

Had my highest finish (122), my most 1k's in a season (5), not my highest overall season total, but it was a short season, so the 8k+ was nice.

    My goals.

T100+, hit 1300 for the first time.. it will happen one day!

My goals were to get a dozen legendary tokens off events this season, and break 10k points (challenging b/c of 3 less pvps for a shortened season of 19 days). Met first goal but not the second. icon_redface.gif
  • I reached the JG cover at the top of similar progression (first time hitting that), and finished the season with 5029 points (would've been more if I had focused on PVP, but I was happy).
I hope the next season ten pack gives me better luck than the last couple, though.

solid season, missed on 10K, but not by much. finished 9927. hit 1300 a few times but man that costs some hp and we just cycled through the strongest characters out there, so I doubt i'll duplicate this season's event score average (minus simulator, averages ~1150/event) again until I get my 4*s going. as I played with the high scorers this season, not sure what I have to do to make t50. ended 69th and not even close to t50, so again, until I get my 4*s running, t100 and going back to 1K/event. successfully gathered 14 legendaries waiting to be opened - looking forward to that - wish list includes hb and thing there.

TLDR: missed on the lofty 10K goal and missed on t50 and probably won't have a shot at those types of goals again for a while unless my legendary covers fall right.
  • My two main goals every season are: get the 10-pack, get the 4-star in sim progression.

I got the 10 pack earlier than I ever had. Possibly because I was able to get the 1k progression in PVP for the first time, twice in fact. So that's nice.

But SHIELD simulator was super hard for me this time. Did anyone else find that? Maybe I started to early, or my stubborn refusal to shield screwed me. I also had some work travel in the final week, and was unable to try over the last few days. Next time!!
  • I started with pretty meager goals, the 900 Sim reward, and made that pretty handily.

Even though it was a short season, I wondered if I could get to the 10-pack again, and ultimately did, again relatively smoothly.

The only part of the season that was a bit tough for me was I decided to push through in Sim shortly before making the mistake of opening a Legendary and "winning" a SS, which borked my MMR pretty badly, dropping me far out of contention for the Sim 1700 Blade reward I was interested in.

I got within -200 of it before rostering SS, and ended up just over 1000 overall, losing 700+ (lost defenses plus the few I managed to find and win) points and countless ISO for skips in the process.

I just couldn't find enemies within 70 levels of me to fight.

All in all, pretty psyched to get my second ever 10-pack, and I got one of the two cards I needed from Sim (I already have the middle two), but pretty disheartened by SS's effect on my game.

No clue. I just did a mad sprint on the first 3 events and climbed to about 1200 in S.H.I.E.L.D., and with the lowered total time this season I hit the lower bar faster.
My team was (at the start of this season) a 166 Thor, a 140 Doctor Octopus, and a 140 Daken. I guess I got lucky with the first few boosted characters and happened to have a decently leveled Luke Cage when his turn to be boosted came up. Otherwise maybe its just because I'm skimming the line, but the highest difficulty people I find myself fighting are 166 teams, with the occational 220-250 4-star character.

My goal was to get 1300 in every event and top 50 overall for the season. I failed though.

I ended the season with 10104 points in 83rd. Ran out of energy and motivation to get 1300 for the last few events. Also started running short of HP to shield hop more than 3 times per event.

Have become pretty burnt out on PvP. It takes a significant amount of time and effort to reach 1300 without a usable 4 star.png. It's also getting old trying to compete with my maxed 3 star.png roster that doesn't deter attacks sufficiently. Success in PvP also seems very much more dependent on who you know rather than the amount of time or effort that you spend in-game.

That's actually pretty encouraging for me.

I've got about ten 3*s that I could take to 120-140 with pretty good coverage (at least 9-10 covers on each), and if we're both seeing 166s (me at 94 and you at 140), I'm really starting to seriously consider saying good-bye to PvE permanently and go ahead and blow that almost 2000000 in ISO...

My main targets for the season are always to hit at least the ten pack reward and 2000 points on shield simulator which I did.
  • Goal? Didn't have any. Dream? First time to hit 2k in SIM. Got it yesterday morning with a furious 500 run.

Hit 1000 in a PVP event (two, actually): check!
Hit the 2000 point progression reward in shield simulator: check!
Hit the 7500 season progression reward: check! (had to go back into sim and grind the last 300 points after the She-Hulk event ended)
Win a legendary token from a PVE event: check!
Win a legendary token from the DPD 4* event: miss! (these were a lot harder than I thought... Might have a chance with an upcoming 4* with more covers)

I'm hanging onto my legendary tokens until the second 5* is added. Here's hoping for no Star Lord purpleflag.png as that's the only cover I can't use. Here's also hoping I get enough covers on one character to make their DPD event winnable.

Ah the goals for seasons. Just like the past few seasons my goals are hut 8p0 in pvp events. Done that once 2 seasons ago. Came close this last season with 798 in she hulk but a commute home during last hour killed my chance at getting those 2 points needed. Hit the 10 pack fairly early on. Got the urge to push for the extra 100 HP @5600 did that. Wanted to get jean grey from sim but was to far off. Closest I've gotten on the Sim is 1700. But it's always a goal to try and reach for. Once maybe I get some more characters higher I can.

Off season goal to acquire a 5* character: CHECK!

I wanted to reach 1k in every PvP, but I failed on the Doc Ock one since he's my 2nd lowest level 3*.

I also wanted to finish top 50 for the season, but that means climbing a lot higher in PvP than just the 1k I was reaching, so no dice there.

I've been successful in every 4* DDQ so far, and my goal is to keep that up as long as I can.
  • Picked up the legendary token in every event, used two shields for most events, three once or twice, and a four in Black Panther as that's just how the timing worked out, but had one where I got to 1300+ before shielding and only used one. That was sweet. Finished top 25 without having to shield in shield sim, so overall a good season for me.

Finished 17th with 12,200 points, somewhere around 2k floating around in sim. So I guess an average of 1400+ per event, which is higher than my average has been previously, but before the legendary tokens existed, I'd skip 1300 if it was a cover I didn't need.
