DPD and collecting 3*

I've heard that people keep every 3* so that they can do DPD, but i don't have nearly enough space for them all. Should i keep 1 slot for temporary 3 stars just to finish DPD, junking any 3* that I don't plan on using?

Also, since enchilada rewards a specific cover, if it's for a hero I don't really want, i could just skip it right?

  • I personally like to reserve one (or maybe even two!) slots on my roster for any essentials I don't plan to carry that I'll need in a PVE or whatnot.

So, if you get a cover for an upcoming Deadpool's Daily, and you got a rotating roster spot for that, then sure, put that 1 cover on and get your extra Taco Token and 2500 iso8.png .

Getting more roster spots over time obviously makes it all easier, of course. But that takes time and/or money.

Skipping Enchilada means missing out on the progression reward. You could always sell the cover for ISO if you don't want it too. I don't know what your roster looks like, so I'll let you decide if the ISO is worth the trouble or not.

i would play as much ddq as possible

even if you dont need the cover, you would miss out on 2000 iso. its 500 more if you dont need the cover.

All good points. I've decided to leave a slot or 2 open for rotating essentials to do DDQ. If the cover is in my queue, I can bring it in, finish it, then sell the initial cover if I don't need it. This way I have the new cover I win from enchilada sitting in the queue again.

I realise this thread has been inactive for 2 weeks and is pretty much dead, but it seems to me worth commenting for the sake of any new players reading this.

Covers sit in your queue for 14 days, but the DDQ rotation is 40 days. Therefore, if you're following the strategy above, you might get lucky and find that a non-DDQ PvE (Story) event happens to feature said character as an essential, but it's fairly unlikely (approx 3 - 4 events are likely to happen in a 14 day period and there are 40 3*s so we're talking about sub-10% chance) so for the most part you are just doing this for the ISO.

(Although, if you're attempting to reach the HP threshold to get your next roster slot, and this character is top of your list to transition to permanent roster member it can also be argued that this is extending the shelf-life of that queued character.)

Note, that while it's also possible that the character is the featured character on the PvP, a single cover for the PvP-featured gives no advantage when compared to the 3 covered 'loaner' character.
