I thought it would be interesting to track your roster's progression as time passed on, and so I've created this thread so that we can all take snapshots of our rosters at random points in time and update it every once in a while to track progression. It also helps to have all of this information in a single thread in case I want to reference it later.

    I like this idea. I've only spent money on roster slots. Sold only 2 characters thus far : IM35 & mBW.

    Unfortunately, for the developers, I want to spend money but if I do it will take the thrill of the game away. I would like to give them more money but seeing as new characters, events, and patches are so often right now (which I'm cool with (hoping for Cyclopes, Nightcrawler, Blade, Sabertooth, or Gambit to join the cast)) but I don't want the game to become tooooo easy.

    But again, What's your secret?

    Agreed, unbelievable progress. You can compare that to mine (never paid for anything; on top of that, wasted a lot of ISO and HP quite foolishly).
    Personally been playing from mid December on Steam; had to delete numerous characters numerous times due to unwise HP spending and not being patient enough for keeping tokens (yes I am that person who deleted Hulk (3 stars? what 3 stars?) in the very beginning and Ragnarok back when Rags was considered cool. They wouldn't have been of help anyway with just 1 cover each).
    Finished prologue with all 1 stars (mostly m. Storm, mBW and c. Hawkeye; but used guest heroes, of course, and non-maxed Venom a couple of times to devour 115 lvl Ragnarok). I had the hardest time parting with c. Hawkeye eventually since he's so much more, you know, accurate compared to modern Hawkeye. Oh well. We'll see what comes.
    Never bothered with IM 35 much, I think I almost maxed him 2 times but practically never used anyway. mBW faded when I got a usable oBW as well. oBW is much more proactive, lacking stun.
    The only characters I have to rebuild so far are:
    m. Storm; my old build was 4-5-4, which is good but not great. The best for me is 5-5-3;
    Thor due to nerf/fix; rebuilding him to 3-5-5.
    The only 1 stars I have atm and want to keep are m. Storm and Venom; not sure about Venom though, my Spidey is perpetually too low leveled in Blue to combo them extremely well.
    Hope to get 100 HP from the current tourney and 50 elsewhere to buy a slot for Daredevil (one red cover sitting in rewards, but it's some progress).

    Sorry about the incredibly late response! I think I spent ~10 dollars on HP for roster slots, but no purchases beyond that. I've actually created a guide that documents some tips on how to progress quickly here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3939, but I would say that obsessive playing is probably the main reason why my roster is the way it is.

    Missing 6 covers, five I do not feel like it is worth buying a slot for (Bag Man, Hawkeye Classic, Juggernaut, Venom, Yelena Belova). I have 3k HP banked but I am very stingy with limited currency, may buy the slots eventually. I do not see these characters being required for PvE nodes, those are generally 2/3* exclusive and they have not been cruel enough to have Bag-Man required that I have seen.

    Notably missing x-Force. I had 2 cracks at an X-Force Green so far, Jozier hit me right when I made the 2400 progression during the first Ares tournament (Obviously no credit) and the patch just got pushed down to allow anyone to see anyone high on the bracket so I had to panic shield after being unable to regain the points being down almost 200 in 10 minutes. Still won the bracket to get my first 4* with a 1k point lead, I believe that was IW Yellow. Second chance was when I got rubber-banded out of top 2 TaT with 4 minutes left to 4th place after leading for the entire second half of the event.

    In the beginning, I tried to max every low level character I had, resulting in a heap of wasted ISO. I sold off Thor/Wolverine (wolverine was very easy to rebuild properly, Thor I can't stop getting Red covers so I will respec once the yellows become available to me), and all my 1*'s (started to rebuild Storm & Iron Man during the last 1* tournament). Now I am 'hoarding' my ISO, since there is really no one at the moment I need to pump it into (I would be leveling Black Panther, but I don't have enough covers and I'm trying to limit the $ I spend on this game now).

    I recently re-spec'ed Punisher using the progression rewards from The Hulk, and I must say I like him a lot more than ever before. I understand the draw of his Red, especially for lower-level players facing 230 bad guys in PvE, but the speed he gains from having 5 green and 5 black is insane. Hood and Loki were recently maxed out from their PvP rewards, and hopefully after the next Ragnarok LR I can have him at 5/5 completing my villain set. Also re-spec'ed Hawkeye ** not that it matters (for those of you questioning why I leveled him so high, there was a PvE event long ago where he was buffed 200%!)

    Who I would like to Re-Spec:
    -Ares to 5/5/3 (when he first launched everyone was all about the yellow, but I don't see myself using it anymore).
    -Thor ** to 3/5/5 (no question this is the optimal build now)
    -Daredevil to 4/4/5 (need 1 more cover to max in the first place)
    -Iron Man *** to 5/5/3 (i never use him anyway but with him competing with Spidey for Yellow it makes sense)
