20 Iso Reward -probably asked and answered but can't find it

Apologies because this has probably been answered but searches have been hard to find-

Is there any sort of formula to why sometimes you get a 20 iso reward even when there are remaining rewards for a PvE battle? Is there any way to guarantee an actual reward after the first win or is it just random? It really sucks to have that 500 iso sitting there and then be shoveled 20 after a tough battle.

    There is a 50% chance to either get a new reward that you haven't gotten or an old reward that you haven't (which gives 20 Iso instead).

  • I feel the twenty should be upped to 50 or 70 to at least make the grind to max out champs a little easier. I mean 50 or 70 isn't huge when it cost 1500 for one level. 20 ISO just seems redundant.

    50 or 70 standard would have made the last heroic event slightly more bearable in easing the grind and I think better reflects the new cost of boosting!

    Ice has upping the 20 ISO been discussed?

    It has, as has the general thought about the Iso rewards being static game-wide independent of mission difficulty as brought up by many a forum-goer. We've got some ideas on that that are percolating through talks and such but we're always wary of making wholesale changes to the Iso economy so that we don't end up either tanking it or injecting way too much due to an oversight or clever use of game mechanics.

    Read: The devs are well aware of our ability to find and exploit any vulnerability in the game in order to farm iso. I will take that as a compliment. Oh, but how fun would it be to have a 24 hour Iso-for-all event? Double all the iso rewards for a day?

    How about a 24 hour iso-for-none event? Halve all the iso rewards and eliminate the HP for a day?

    Agreed. Although 50 seems like the desired minimum. You know, getting just 20 iso 5 times in a row after beating hard 230 lvl enemies with your puny underleveled heroes (don't remind me of TaT) is SOUL-CRUSHING. I tell you, a tiny, better, childlike part of me dies every time I get the ridiculous 20 iso reward icon_mrgreen.gif Hulk smash indeed.

    Considering a good boost costs 200 ISO, 50 ISO seems more than reasonable. Not sure if there are any boosts left that cost 100 ISO.

    Strangely, the color-based 20% power boosts are all still 100 I-8.

    I'm fine with increasing it to 25, but 50 is too much. It's too easy to grind the early Prologue fights with a single 3 or 4 level enemy when you've made it to even the teens in levels, and comparing that to the ~100 from a PvP match-up win? The return on investment for grinding Prologue fights would be too high and as a side effect it would pull people away from the tournaments.

    Yes, prologue would be easy to abuse. But it could work on limited pve evemts. Prologue would stay the same as it is now because those enemy levels are locked in place. But the limited pve events could offer better rewards because those missions that are scaled, more difficult to grind, take longer to complete and are in need of a worthwhile reward. Finishing level 230s and getting 20 iso two or three times in a row is enough to make me put the iPad down because I feel like I have wasted 30 minutes earning 60 iso.

    Well, I've just got 4 consecutive 20 iso's where 3 rewards are still available. I find this really hard to believe that the probability is that high for 20 lousy iso's. Tried a different mission, guess what I got?
